and lastly, Less is More with a theme of

However, I think I've overdone it a little!!.

Goose and Gander

What a week I've had! but I'll explain more later.

My card today is my DT card for The Male Room, and also for two challenges

The sketch is from Clean and Simple

and the colours from Dynamic Duos

Here it is

I stamped the geese in Versamark on white card, and heat embossed them in black ( that's why they are shining in the photo as the camera flash reflected off their necks). I then stamped in brown the feathers, grasses, and sentiment in black on some more card, laid it on some crumb cake and white base. The geese were coloured and added on 3D pads, and the finishing touch was the pearls under the sentiment.

Supplies :
All are Stampin' Up unless stated otherwise
Card = Whisper White, Crumb Cake, and white base FMS
Stamps = Wetlands and Fine Feathers
Inks = Versamark, Black, and Crumb Cake
Tools = Heat Gun and Stamp-a-ma-jig
Extras = Black EP, 3D Pads and Pearls

It's my nephew, Nathan's, 6th birthday on Monday, so he is having a party on Sunday so his friends can all come to play. I've been busy making bunting, Sugar Icing Star Wars characters for his cake, and a paper machete dinosaur pinata( which I'll show you some other time )

The cat is not from Star Wars! I've had to make her with a pink scarf and bow for my 2 1/2 year old niece, Sophie, so she wont feel left out. Sophie insisted that she looked like the "Mummy Cat" from the Disney film, The Aristocats.

It's time for my hospital treatment again on Wednesday, so I'll be back asap. Have a great weekend....I'm in charge of party games and the bouncy castle!!

Here it is

I started by stamping the goose and wading birds in Archival ink on some white card, and coloured them with my Write Markers. After masking the goose, I then used my WM's and aqua painter to colour the receding tide and waters edge on the horizon, and continued off the bird panel onto the white base card. I then coloured my stamps to make the sand dunes in the foreground with a little Warbler clinging to the reeds looking on. The bird panel and sentiment banner were put in place mounted on green card with 3D pads.

Supplies :
All Stampin' Up unless stated otherwise
Card = Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, and white base FMS

Worcester Warrior

It's our fourth challenge over at  The Male Room where we are looking for projects with the theme of
                               SPORTS OR HOBBIES

My card was made for my friends partner, Bill, who is a crazy cricket fan, and a supporter of the Worcester Warriors Rugby team.

After stamping the player, I coloured him in the Warriors strip, and masked him with a Post It, before sponging the pitch and sky. I also added some goal posts which were heat embossed in white, and stamped some trees behind them. I embossed some tram lines around the edges of the base card, to suggest the goals, and sponged over the base in green. The player was cut in a Nestie, laid on a blue and then green Nesties, and finished with a sentiment.

Rita and Bill are on holiday in Tenerife for his birthday on Friday, and Rita has taken this ( and the other cards I made for her, see here and here ) as a surprise for him to open on the day. I hope he likes them.

He is the Music Man!

My card today is for three challenges

First is Mojo Monday with this sketch,

second is Fab Friday with these colours,

and third is Addicted to CAS with a theme of        MUSIC

                              Here it is

The image was stamped in black Archival and coloured with markers and my Aqua Painter. I randomly stamped some music on a white base and sponged over it with blue, adding the image ( matted in some brown) on 3D pads. The sentiment banner was also added on 3D pads across the top.

This card is for my friend, Chris's Grandson, Danny, who has just started a music degree at London Uni, and has been signed up by an agent who has got him some gigs in popular venues. He writes all his own music and lyrics, and plays the guitar. I've seen him perform in the school band he was the lead singer for, and it's amazing to see him come alive in front of crowds of people, as he is so shy when not behind his guitar. I hope he likes it

Supplies :
All Stampin' Up unless stated otherwise
Card = Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Papermania Musician, Kaisercraft Music, and Express Yourself
Inks = Black Archival, Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Sahara Sand, Bashful Blue, and Dusty Durango
Tools = Aqua Painter and Mosaic Madness Punch
Extras = 3D Pads

I'm off to my Sisters again tomorrow, and may get some craaaaftin' done with Nathan, unless he wants to go scrumping and foraging for black berries like last week.

Back soon

 Here it is

I stamped the yellow hearts, and then the sentiment over the top in blue. I edged some music sheet with decorative cut card, and sponged it with brown and yellow. The finishing touch is the addition of 3 heart gems. My Navy card and ink looks black in the photo, but it's Midnight Muse, honestly.

Raspberry Poppy

Well, another weekend is nearly over...why do they go so quickly?? Anyway, my card today is for four challenges.

First, is Freshly Made Sketches with this sketch,

then ColourQ with these colours,

then Stampin' Royalty with the theme of
PATTERNED PAPER

and lastly, Crazy 4 Challenges who want FLOWERS AND PEARLS

Here's my card

I embossed some grey card and laid it on some DP, wrapped it with a ribbon, and then onto a white base. I stamped the poppy in Archival black, and coloured it with my Aqua Painter, before cutting it with a Nestie, and placing it with 3D pads. Then, AAAAHHHHH! a disaster happened. I dropped my inked sentiment on the Nestie. Luckily, to cover some of the mistake, I could stamp it again, higher than I originally wanted
(over the bottom of the stems) and I added 3 pearls to cover the rest ( not easy to see in the photo, sorry). The finishing touch was the addition of a bow and a pearl bodied butterfly.

Supplies :
All Stampin' Up unless stated otherwise
Card = Island Indigo, Grey, Whisper White, DP and white base FMS
Stamps = Simply Sketched
Inks = Black Archival, Island Indigo, Regal Rose, and Raspberry Ripple
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Mosaic Madness EF, Aqua Painter, Elegant and Bitty Butterfly Punches
Extras = Pearls and 3D Pads

Thanks for dropping by, and I hope you have a good week what ever you are doing.

Green Autumn

My card today is for five challenges

First is Color Throwdown with these colours,

then Less is More who want us to use a RUBBER STAMP

then Paper Players with a theme of  FALL,

and lastly, Addicted to Stamps with
ANYTHING GOES

This is what I made

I sponged some white cards cut with a Nestie, and randomly stamped some leaves over them, mounted them on brown card and laid on the base like a fan. I stamped the tree on another Nestie and coloured in the leaves, before placing it on 3D pads. The brown card banners were made with the MM Punch cutting the ends, and the finishing touch was the sentiment Nestie with a leaf  and two added acorns.

Supplies :
All supplies are Stampin' Up unless stated otherwise

Stamps = Leaves of a Tree, French Foliage, Lovely as a Tree, and Express Yourself
Inks = Black, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Adirondack Espresso and Juniper
