Apple for Teacher!

This is my second post tonight, just in case I get the call to go to my sisters field at any minute ( her donkey is due to go in to labour any minute)

First, I must say a big "Thank You" to Broni at Color Throwdown who said that she thought one of the outstanding cards in their challenge this week was my Peacock card, with "Gorgeously colored peacock and great embossed background panels!"

Now, here's my CAS card

First, I stamped the wood texture on white card, and placed it at the lower half of the base card, with a wobbly line around the top half. Next, I stamped the mouse on white card, coloured him with my AP and SU markers, and cut it with a Framelit in the Big Shot. This was then added on top of the wood panel with a sentiment printed on my laptop. The finishing touch was the gem dewdrop on the apple.

I am entering these challenges :

Teachers Pet!

Yaaaaay! I've just seen that my Fairy card was Top 3 at Make My Monday, and my Honey Bloom card was picked as a Mashup Glamette at Friday Mashup, so "Thank You" to their lovely DT's.

Today is my nephew, Nathan's last day at school before the long summer break starts, and he's off to the disco after school with this card for his teacher. I hope she likes it?

The Peacock was stamped in Archival ink and coloured with my AP and markers. It was then cut with the label die and the tail fussy cut to hang from the frame. Some coloured banners were made to lie flat on the base, with the Peacock frame raised on 3D pads. The finishing touches were the sentiment (also on 3D pads) and the gems.

I will also be entering these challenges :

Friends Like You

Today my card is for my friends birthday next week

I embossed the blue and pink cards and laid them on the brown base matt. I then stamped the bears and coloured them with my favourite ever tool ( aqua painter) and markers, and cut them with a Framelit in the BS. A ribbon was wrapped around the pink card before the bears were laid down on it on 3D pads, and it was all finished off with a bow and some gems.

I am entering it in to these challenges :

The sketch is from Try Stampin' on Tuesday who also want

Vanilla Stripes

Yaaaay! I never thought it would happen, but I've just made number 50 in my followers, I'm over the moon, so Thank You all for joining me.

Today is a busy day of TV sport for me......with the men's Wimbledon final, and the British Grand Prix, but before I settle on the sofa, here's a card I've made

The flowers on the wreath were coloured with my SU markers and an Aqua Painter, and cut with a framelet. This was then placed on 3D pads and laid on some vanilla card that was embossed with diagonal stripes. The finishing touches were the sentiment, butterfly, and gems.

I will be entering these challenges:

and second is Mojo Monday with this sketch

Here is my card

I embossed the background and strung some bunting across it with added flowers with pearl centres. I then made the dress on the tailors dummy with SU Framelits, and added a silk gathered ribbon underskirt. The sentiment Nestie was added on 3D pads, and finally the trio of Hydrangea blooms.

Supplies :
Card = Blush Blossom, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, DP and white base FMS
Stamps = Best of Flowers and Clarity
Inks = Black, Blushing Bride, and Certainly Celery
Tools = Big Shot, Dress Up Framelets, Nestabilities, and Sizzix Textures
Extras = Bakers Twine, 3D Pads, Readicut Flower Punches, Ribbon, and Pearls

We've had some terrible thunder storms this week, with more forecast, but at last the temperature has dropped a little and the garden has had some much needed water!. The other good news us Brits are celebrating is the arrival of Prince George to William and Kate ( Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ). HIP HIP HOORAY!!

Also, I'm very excited as there are only 6 days left to the launch of The Male Room , I do hope you can play along and show support for it's creator Jacqueline, and see the lovely cards from her and her DT. I'll be seeing you there very soon

Bye for now
