My Sisters Birthday

I've combined 2 challenges to make a card for my Sisters birthday.

The first is this sketch at Mojo Monday ,

and the second is over at  Paper Players where they have these colours

This is my card. It reminds me of the Fruit Salad Sweets that you could buy for 1/2p when I was a kid ( a very long time ago!!!)

The pink and yellow cards were put through the BS in an embossing folder, before being wrapped in a ribbon and border punch.( I didn't have any Limeade green ribbon or card, so I used a SU Write marker to colour some white ribbon and white card). I used the BS to cut the labels, onto which I then stamped the flourish. The flowers were stamped on white card, cut out, and an Aqua painter used to spread the colour, and then the centres added on 3D pads for dimension. The flower panel and Birthday banner were also put on 3D pads.

Recipe :
Card = Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and White card FMS
Stamps = Everything Eleanor, and Verve
Inks = Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart punch, and Couture Creations EF
Extras = 3D Pads, and Ribbon

Thanks for looking at my blog today, and I hope to be back soon.

  2. I always check out the challenges and there are some very talented ladies on here, my question to you and the rest of the ladies the size of the card you are making is it a standard size A2 card or what is the size,
5x5, 5x7, 6x6, how are you determining the size for your cards. I think when the post the challenge they should tell you the size of the card to use from time to time. I love all different sizes but the bigger cards cost more to mail...

  3. I've been wondering where you are Bev. Hope all is well with you and Monty and that you're not suffering too much with the RA. This is such a pretty card - I love these flowers in these zingy colours! Vicky x
