Goose and Gander

What a week I've had! but I'll explain more later.

My card today is my DT card for The Male Room, and also for two challenges

The sketch is from Clean and Simple

and the colours from Dynamic Duos

Here it is

I stamped the geese in Versamark on white card, and heat embossed them in black ( that's why they are shining in the photo as the camera flash reflected off their necks). I then stamped in brown the feathers, grasses, and sentiment in black on some more card, laid it on some crumb cake and white base. The geese were coloured and added on 3D pads, and the finishing touch was the pearls under the sentiment.

Supplies :
All are Stampin' Up unless stated otherwise
Card = Whisper White, Crumb Cake, and white base FMS
Stamps = Wetlands and Fine Feathers
Inks = Versamark, Black, and Crumb Cake
Tools = Heat Gun and Stamp-a-ma-jig
Extras = Black EP, 3D Pads and Pearls

It's my nephew, Nathan's, 6th birthday on Monday, so he is having a party on Sunday so his friends can all come to play. I've been busy making bunting, Sugar Icing Star Wars characters for his cake, and a paper machete dinosaur pinata( which I'll show you some other time )

The cat is not from Star Wars! I've had to make her with a pink scarf and bow for my 2 1/2 year old niece, Sophie, so she wont feel left out. Sophie insisted that she looked like the "Mummy Cat" from the Disney film, The Aristocats.

It's time for my hospital treatment again on Wednesday, so I'll be back asap. Have a great weekend....I'm in charge of party games and the bouncy castle!!

  2. Love your card, it's becoming one of my fav stamp sets of the moment, combining two geese is a great idea. Perfect choice for the colour challenge too, good luck with that. Your Starwars characters are brill! Lucky, lucky boy - he will love them (can you save Yoda for me?...just kidding, but you did an out of this world job there)
