Tea Time!

I hope you've all had a great BH weekend!, the weather had let us down, but we still managed to have some fun in doors with the kids,  although no time for crafting.

I have managed to do something today, and that's driving poor Jacqueline insane!! I could not decide on which SU set to order (as my wish list is endless), but eventually made my choice and put the catalogue away before I changed my mind again.......Sorry Jacqueline!

Anyway, the card I made today, is for two CAS challenges.

The first is Clean and Simple with this sketch,

and the second is CAS-ual Fridays with the colours  RED, WHITE, and BLUE

Here is my card

The red tea cups are on 3D pads to add some dimension, and the blue cups are flat on the white card base.
The "Tea for Two" sentiment is stamped on white and layered on red card that has been cut with a Nestie.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, Real Red and white base FMS
Stamps = Tea Shoppe
Inks = Black, Real Red, and Brilliant Blue
Tools = Big Shot, and Nestabilities
Extras = 3D pads

I'm baby sitting for the next two days as it's still half term here, and Mum isn't strong enough after her operation, so I wont have time for crafting till the weekend.......wish me luck!!

California Dreaming!

My card today is for two challenges

The colours are from ColourQ

and the lay out from this sketch over at
Stampin' Royalty

This is what I did while driving myself mad singing the Mama's and Papa's song "All the leaves are brown"

I randomly stamped some text and a franking mark on some blue card and laid it on an ivory base. This was topped with some DSP, embossed rust card, and yellow card stamped with leaves and splodges.

The tree was stamped in rust and coloured with Write markers before cutting it with a Nestie and matting it on some navy card. The sentiment was done the same way with two leaves added for extra design.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Rust and Navy, and Ivory base FMS
Stamps = Leaves of a Tree, French Foliage, and Verve
Inks = Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Midnight Muse, and Adirondack Rust
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Stamp-a-ma-jig, and Fancy Fan EF

I'm a very happy bunny today.......the sun is shining and drying loads of washing, the French Open and Monaco Grand Prix are on the TV, and I'm crafting, what more could you ask for?

Enjoy the rest of the weekend

CAS Tea Cups

Yaaaaay!! I came Top 3 at CAS Colours and Sketches, and I'm really thrilled, so I say a big "Thank You" to their DT.

My card tonight is for two challenges

The first is this sketch from

and secondly these colours from

Here is my card

I embossed some green card and wrapped a blue ribbon around the top. I then stamped the tea cups on some white card, and matted it on some yellow card that had a punched bottom. For the final touch, I added the black stamped sentiment to the ribbon keeping it CAS.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, Daffodil delight, Green and White base FMS
Stamps = Tea Shoppe
Inks = Black, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Bermuda Bay
Tools = Stamp-a-ma-jig, Big Shot, Fancy Fan EF, and Martha Stewart Punch
Extras = Ribbon

I was in Leicester yesterday, visiting my Sister Cassy. Little Henry is doing really well, he's put weight on and seemed to have got longer!!. The only problem is, he came into contact with a friends child who has since developed Chicken Pox, so Cass is on tender hooks watching to see if spots appear. It never rains when it pours!!.

Anyway, it's a Bank Holiday weekend for us in the UK, so here's hoping that the weather stays dry and you all have a great time whatever you're doing.

Pop Up Accordion card

Today at our club workshop we made a Pop Up Accordion card which I'll be entering into the Make My Monday challenge where they want something made in yellow and green

Here is the front of the card

The Big Shot was used to cut the yellow, green, and white Nestie labels, 3 of which were stuck together leaving a small pop up in the centre of each, which the small white labels were attached to. I stamped and fussy cut some yellow blooms and leaves which I laid onto these. I added two blooms to the back of the central panel (can be seen at the edges along the fold of the base card).

The sentiment was stamped on the bottom of the card and highlighted with a small rose and leaves, while the opposite corner had a green Nestie underneath the flower. Butterflies were added to the centres to draw the eye in.
This is a side view to show you the Pop Up Accordion part of the card.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, Yo Yo Yellow, Green Galore, and white base FMS
Stamps = Stippled Blossoms, Baby Blossoms, Clarity, and Papillon Potpourri
Inks = Black, Yo Yo Yellow, Crushed Curry, Certainly Celery, and Gumball Green
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Elegant and Bitty Butterfly Punches
Extras = Ribbon and 3D pads

Poor Sophie ended up in A&E today after she fell and banged her head in the garden, so I'm off to look after her tomorrow.

Thanks for dropping by, and Bye for now

CAS Leaves

My card today is a CAS one for two challenges

The first is the sketch from Clean and Simple,

and the second is CAS Colours and Sketches with these colours

Here is what I made

I randomly stamped leaves and splodges on some strips of silk card, and staggered them on a white base, and added the sentiment label on 3D pads.

After making the card, I wasn't sure if I liked it, so I added a thin black line around the edges of the strips so that they were more defined. Even now I'm not sure which I like more. What do you think?

Supplies :
Card = Clarity silk, and white base FMS
Stamps = French Foliage, and Fiskars
Inks = Certainly Celery, Calypso Coral, and Rust Adirondack
Tools = Big Shot, and XCut Nestabilities

I'm off to see my sister and the kids this afternoon, so no doubt I'll be playing Super Heroes or Dinosaurs

Bye for now

Blue Butterfly

My second card today, is a One Layer card that I've made for two challenges.

The first is Less is More, where I had miss read that the rules of a COLOURED CARD BLANK was also supposed to be ONE LAYER,

and the second is this colour combo from Dynamic Duos who are celebrating their first Anniversary

Here it is

The card was embossed with a double line frame around the edge, and then the butterfly and sentiment stamped within them. I find it very difficult to stop at just one layer, as I'm always tempted to add ribbons or embellishments, but you sometimes need to be tested outside your comfort zone!

Supplies :
Card = Pool Party base FMS
Stamps = Swallowtail and Verve
Inks = Island Indigo
Tools = Embossing tool and board FMS

Hope to be back soon with the other makes from today

Willow Lady

Yaaaaay! I came Top 3 at Make My Monday with my swing card, so "Thank You" DT , I'm thrilled.

Today, I've been around at my friends playing with stamps and techniques that are new to her, and I made a card for two challenges.

The first is Make My Monday with this book as inspiration, either the story, or cover, or both

The second is Less is More where they want to see a
Coloured card blank

This is my CAS card

Inspired by the book cover, the lady was stamped onto a white Nestie that was matted on a black one, and then laid on 3D pads onto a pink base. To keep the card CAS, I embossed a zigzag line around the card to suggest the aged look without actually distressing it, and stamped the sentiment beneath the lady.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, Black, and pink base FMS
Stamps = Clarity and Fiskars
Inks = Black
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Embossing board and tool FMS
Extras = 3D pads

Thanks for dropping by
