Get Well Soon

My Mum is going into hospital tomorrow for a little Op, so I made my card a Get Well Soon card for her.

I will also be entering it into three challenges.

The sketch is from CAS Colours and Sketches,

the theme of FLOWERS is from Addicted to CAS

and lastly, the colours from Play Date Cafe
Grass, Rose Petals and Hibiscus

Here is my card

I randomly stamped the flourish in green on white card and sponged the edges before placing them on a white base. I stamped the sentiment on a white Nestie label, laid this on a pink label, and stuck both down on 3D pads. The flowers were stamped in two shades of pink, and coloured with an Aqua painter. The centres were dabbed with Twinkles and placed on the label over the curly vine that peeps from underneath them. The larger flower was decoupaged and placed on 3D pads.

Supplies :
Card = Lucky Limeade, Naturals White, Dark Pink and White base cards FMS
Stamps = Everything Eleanor and Verve
Inks = Black, Lucky Limeade, Primrose Petals and Blushing Bride
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, and Marianne Vine
Extras = 3D Pads and Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles

I'm going to be running about this week with hospital visits and checking that my Step Dad doesn't burn the house down, so I will be back as soon as I can, and I apologise in advance for the lack of comments from me on your lovely blogs.

Happy crafting

Just Believe Flowers

Today my card is for four challenges

The sketch comes from Try Stampin' on Tuesday,

the colours are from ColourQ,

the theme of FLOWERS is from Addicted to CAS,

and lastly, there is Addicted to Stamps who want us to

MAKE YOUR MARK  by using marker pens

Here is my card

I started by embossing some Crumb Cake card and layering it on some pink card on a white base. I then used my SU Write Markers to colour my flower stamp and printed it on some white card. I did the same with the sentiment, orange border and flourish, which was then shaped with a butterfly punch.  I stamped some extra flowers which were added after the border was placed across the floral panel. I sponged the butterfly with green ink and added green gems for the body, before sticking it on the sentiment label which had been raised on 3D pads. The finishing touches were the pearls in each corner and with the sentiment.

Supplies :
Card = Crumb Cake, Naturals White, Pink and White base FMS
Stamps = Just Believe, Always Elegant, and Madison Avenue
Inks = Black, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, and Lucky Limeade
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Cottage Floral EF, and Elegant Butterfly Punch
Extras = 3D pads, Gems, and Pearls

I'll be back soon, so bye for now

CASed card

I've been busy all morning, but I found a few minutes to craft, and I have combined two challenges for my card.

The first is Less is More and the choice of two cards to CASE, and I chose this one.

Second is Color Throwdown with these lovely pastel colours

This is what I made

I stamped the frame in green and stamped the sentiment on it in black before cutting it out. I layered some brown card on yellow, and pin punched holes around the edges, and laid them down on a white base.
I then stamped the roses and leaves onto white card, cut them out, and arranged them on the frame with one bloom on 3D pads. I cut the yellow pennant and pin punched around the edges before sticking it down tucked under the frame which was also raised on 3D pads.

Supplies :
Card = Barely Banana, Crumb Cake, Naturals White, and White base FMS
Stamps = Baby Blossoms, and Verve
Inks = Black, Certainly Celery, Blushing Bride, and Regal Rose
Tools = Pokey tool,
Extras = 3D pads

We had a terrible hail and rain storm about half an hour ago, but now the sun is shinning and the sky is blue. I hope it stays that way as I've got some washing to do, which includes Monty's bed that could do with some fresh air on it.

Have a great weekend

Grape Vines

Today my card is for two challenges.

The first is Retro Sketches with this sketch,

and second, are these juicy colours from

This is my card

I decided to rotate the sketch 180*, and then I stamped the vines in yellow and green on some white card, masked them with Post Its, and stamped the bunch of grapes twice so that some of the bunches are paler in colour to give some depth to the scene. This was then die cut in the Big Shot and layered with yellow, blue and green (embossed) cards. The sentiment "Good things are worth the wait" was added, and a bunch of grapes and one leaf were placed on 3D pads. A yellow ribbon and bow finished it off.

Supplies :
Card = Naturals White, Midnight Muse, Green, Yellow and White base FMS
Stamps = Grape Vines and Verve
Inks = Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, and Gumball Green
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Stamp-a-ma-jig, and Budding Vine EF
Extras = Post Its, 3D pads, and Ribbon

Years ago, I bought some grape and vine unmounted stamps from a well known (and one of my favourite shops) auction web site, and I've found out today that they could possibly be from Stampin' Up? (Definitely Decorative). As my regular followers will know I am a great fan of this brand so just had to give them an airing. What do you think?

Some good news now, Little Henry is out of hospital! Phew, it's such a relief. Hopefully, Cassy can now relax a little and try to get him in some sort of a routine at home. No doubt when she's ready, we will go and see her and catch up on some cuddles.

Thanks for all your kind wishes, you Crafters really are special people!

That's all for now

Masculine Monochrome card

Today, I'm baby sitting, and while Sophie is having a little snooze, I've finished my card I started yesterday at Jacqueline's house. I've made it for my friends sons birthday, and I'm going to enter it in two challenges.

The first is Dynamic Duos with these colours, plus the dessert option of a masculine theme.

The second is Make My Monday with a theme of

            FANCY FOLDS

This is it, it's a swing card

I made the base with White card, and matted it with a dark grey before another matt of White. Using Black I stamped the bicycle and sentiment on the centre panel, the birds on the small segments, and the floral borders on the sides. The last things were the two butterflies in grey and white.

Razzleberry Daisies

My card today is for two challenges.

The sketch is from Paper Craft Crew,

and the colours are from  CAS Colours and Sketches

Here is my card

I first made the labels in the Big Shot, and stamped the daisies in Razzleberry, and without re inking the stamp, I stamped them a second time so they were paler to give some depth. I then sponged the label with blue for the sky ( not very obvious in the photo, sorry ). The butterfly was made by stamping a flourish on white card and the shape cut with a punch, and then this was placed on top of a Pink one which was set slightly in front to give the wings some definition. The finishing touches were the pink gems for the butterfly's body and flower centres.

Supplies :
Card = Rich Razzlebrry, Pool Party, Naturals White, Pink and White base FMS
Stamps = Upsy Daisy, Always Elegant, and Cute Companions
Inks = Rich Razzleberry, Primrose Petals, and Pool Party
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Shapeabilities, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Elegant Butterfly Punch, and Readicut Flower Punch
Extras = 3D pads and Gems

Sorry that I've not had time for much blog hopping this week, but I will try to catch up over the coming days.

Yellow Roses of Hope

Today my card is for my Sister Cassy whose 2 week old baby, Henry, is seriously ill in hospital. Yellow roses symbolise hope, joy, and caring, so convey everything I want to say to her in a card. I will also be entering it into two challenges.

First is Mojo Monday with this sketch,

and, Colour Throwdown with these colours

This is my card

I started by randomly stamping the yellow flowers and green leaves on the top half of a white base, and then covering the other half with embossed blue card. I then stamped a yellow rose, a rose bud, and two leaves on some white card and cut them out.
With the Big Shot I cut and layered the scallop circle and label, and embossed a strip of yellow card. These were stuck in place with 3D pads, and the flower and sentiment added. The finishing touches were the butterfly with gem body, blue flag, blue and yellow gems in opposing corners.

Supplies :
Card = Black, Daffodil Delight, Naturals White, Blue and White base FMS
Stamps = Stippled Blossoms, Baby Blossoms, and Cute Companions Sentiment
Inks = Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, and Brilliant Blue
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Fancy Fan and Dots EF, and Elegant Butterfly Punch
Extras = 3D pads and gems

We are all really worried about little Henry, so I hope this bright card will bring some cheer to Cassy and Russell while he is in hospital having tests done. I've got my fingers and toes crossed that he will be allowed home very soon.

Thanks for dropping by today, and please send positive thoughts to Cass, Russell, and of course, Henry.

Orange and blue reminded me of a beautiful kingfisher, and so my card was born! He was stamped in black Archival and coloured with an Aqua Painter. I cut the body out and reprinted the branch he is sat on underneath him, and placed him on 3D pads. The sentiment was stamped by piecing together words from different stamp sets and added to some white card that had been through the Big Shot with a scallop circle Nestie. This white card was also on 3D pads.

Supplies :
Card = Pumpkin Pie, Naturals White, and square base FMS
Stamps = Clarity, Woodware, and Verve
Inks = Black Archival, Pumpkin Pie, and Tempting Turquoise
Tools = Big Shot, Scallop Nestie, and Stamp-a-ma-jig
