First I used a SB scalloped circle die to cut an aperture in a SU 6"x6" Whisper White square card, and then sponged through the hole with Bashful Blue and Certain Celery. Then I used one of my old favourites, Inspired by Nature set, with the daisies stamped in Crushed Curry for the centres and Real Red for the petals, and Certain Celery for the stems, leaves and grass. I then printed a single daisy with a bent stem on a separate piece of WW card, cut it out and stuck it on the front with the flower overlapping the aperture. I finished the card off with a Real Red stamped Fiskars greeting.
This is a side view which I hope shows the inner stamped image, and the overlapping flower head from the front of the card. I don't know where I would be without my Big Shot as I seem to use it every time I'm making a card lately,it saves me struggling with scissors and knives anyway.
Yesterday, I spent the day at my sisters and was run ragged playing with Nathan ( sorry, I mean 3 1/2 year old Spiderman).Trying to take his photo was impossible so here's a couple that my Mum managed to take on Monday
Right, Tennis on, craft stuff on table, coffee made, so off I go to create something.
Thanks for stopping by and for all your lovely comments, and hope you can call again soon. Bev.x

ReplyDeleteBev - what a pretty card! So clean and fresh looking - I like stamping going over the scallop frame. Great to see you playing along with the Make my Monday challenge!
ReplyDeleteWell, Your card is totally lovely, gorgeous flowers and I like the way you have it on the front and over the aperture. Glad Spiderman finally wore himself out, those super heroes can go for days without rest, I've been told, LOL Gay xx

ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Bev! I love the sponging through the aperture technique and your extra flower on the front is touch of genius. That picture by the way is not of Nathan - that IS Spiderman! Vx
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card!
ReplyDeleteA lovely card Bev and the window idea is fabulous. It really sets off the flower on the front of the card.
