I knew exactly what I wanted to do!. Some time ago I bought a Clarity stamp that was all about the winged insects, and included the word Butterfly in several different languages. However, after stamping it in Black Archival ink on some silk white card stock I decided that it was too flat, so, I went to town and cut it all up!!
Firstly, here is the card after spending an hour ( or two ) on piecing all the messy inky bits together onto a card.
I started with a 5" cream square card from my stash, and sponged the edges with SU Bashful Blue ink. I then tore a rough square of the same cream card and sponged it with Gable Green and stuck it at an angle, on top of which I placed a strip of blue open weave hessian.
I cut the stamped image into four ( the large butterfly tag, small tag, and two butterfly words ) and coloured them with Pro markers before sticking them onto more torn and sponged BBlue card. Then my trusty BS came out and I cut 2 Green Galore vines, 2 Bashful Blue Nellie's ornate corners, and a BBlue and a GGreen flower.
I then used 3D pads to stick down the large tag, small tag, and 2 words. The vines were glued by the back of the leaves, and the ornate corners by a glue pen because of the narrow areas. The 2 flowers were stacked in alternate colours in the bottom corner and topped with a gem from my stash.
The butterfly was then stamped onto some thick tracing paper, coloured with the same Pro markers as the one on the tag, cut out, and stuck by the body section onto the tag image.
This is a side view
Recipe : Card = SU Bashful Blue, Gable Green, Clarity silk card, cream card and tracing paper from my stash.
Stamps = Clarity
Inks = SU Bashful Blue, Gable Green, Black Archival, Pro markers
Extras = 3D pads, Big Shot, Crealies, Nellie's dies, and Marianne vines, and a gem from stash.
Well that's it for tonight, I don't think I could fit anything else on it even if I wanted to. What do you think??
If you can, please leave me a comment as I really appreciate reading them, and the time you take out of your busy day to leave one.
Thanks for having a look at my blog and I'd love it if you could drop by again soon.
