Blossom Bird

Today, I could not decide what sentiment to put on my card, so for a change I decided to leave it off all together so I can use it for any occasion.

I will also be entering it into these challenges :

Addicted to Stamps want us to
        "MAKE YOUR MARK"

and Inkspirational have the theme of
      "BLOOM"

the sketch comes from Mojo Monday

House of Cards have this photo inspiration and colour palette

I haven't used a DL card for some time, and I quite enjoyed the challenge of creating something slim lined so may use one again soon.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, and DL base FMS
Stamps = Whimsical Wings, Simply Soft, and Everything Eleanor
Inks = Black Archival, Pistachio Pudding, Wisteria Wonder, and Blushing Bride
Tools = Stamp-a-ma-jig, and Fiskars Scissors
Extras = 3D Pads, Gems, and Ribbon FMS

I have spent the last few days with my family working hard in my garden. We (well, they! helped by me ) laid a concrete slab base and built a shed on it, and painted 13 6' x 6' fence panels.

This is before, and after the shed. There is still a lot more to do to tidy it up, and to build raised flower beds so I can easily reach weeds and the plants.

Thanks for dropping by

Ring of Flowers

Yaaaay! I've just seen that I was one of the Top Picks at Sunday Stamps, so a big "Thank You" to Marie, and the DT.

Well the weather stopped play for me today, but I'm glad it did, as instead of doing the gardening, I made this card. Looking for flowers, I turned to my favourite stamp set of the moment, Apothecary Art from SU.

I am entering into the following challenges:

The sketch is from Sunday Stamps,

the colours from ColourQ,

the Paper Players have a theme of clean and simple
"FLORAL"

and lastly, Less is More also have a theme of
"FLOWERS"

I coloured the flowers with my Aqua Painter and SU Markers, and fussy cut it before laying it on turquoise card that I also cut by hand. I pieced the sentiment together using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, and placed some tiny gems on the added butterfly.

Supplies :
Card - Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, and base FMS
Stamps - Apothecary Art and Papillon Potpourri
Inks - Black Archival, Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade, and Melon Mambo
Tools - Aqua Painter, Big Shot, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Fancy Fan EF, Fiskars Scissors, and Butterfly Punch
Extras - 3D Pads and Gems

I must get a new daylight bulb for the lamp in my study/craft room, as the photos taken with my old camera are quite dark, so I apologise if the colours don't look quite right. Either that, or I must find time to do my photos and posting earlier in the day!

Thanks for dropping by, and I hope you all have a good weekend.

I'm sorry for the brief post today, but I don't want to miss the challenge deadlines.

I heat embossed the dandelion and sentiment, and sponged the colours through a Nestie aperture, before finishing it off with a fussy cut dragonfly

Blue Monday

Well, here we go into another week, and I start it with a very quick post from me. My sister and nephew, Henry (1 year old) arrived for a surprise visit this morning, and so time has got away from me and I don't want to miss the challenge deadlines.

Here is my card

For a change, it's a gate fold card, and this is a view of the inside.           The front sentiment, rose centres, and wing edges of the butterfly were heat embossed with gold EP. A Martha Stewart punch was used to decorate the edges of the brown, turquoise, and blue stripes of card on the front folds, and the brown rose leaves were fussy cut, with one pair sticking over the edge of the left hand fold.

These are the challenges I'll be entering:

The sketch is from Try Stampin' on Tuesday with the added twist
  "SMELL THE ROSES"

The colours are from ColourQ

and lastly, Addicted to CAS with
"OFF THE EDGE"

(I hope the blue and brown stripes qualify for blank space?)
Supplies :
Card - Pool Party, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and Turquoise card FMS
Stamps - Stippled Blossoms, Papillon Potpourri, Sassy Salutations, and Docrafts
Inks - Pool Party, Tempting Turquosie, Versamark, and Adirondack Espresso
Tools - Big Shot, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Punch, Elegant Butterfly Punch, and Heat Gun
Extras - 3D Pads and Gold EP

Today, I'm avoiding the sun, and hiding in the shade indoors to do some crafting, and I made this card for my friends birthday.

I will also be submitting it to these challenges :

The sketch is from

The colours came from Color Throwdown

and from the photo inspiration at

and  lastly, Seize the Birthday have the extra topping of
                         "FLOWERS"

Supplies
Card - Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Silver card and base FMS
Stamps - Apothecary Art, and Papillon Potpourri
Inks - Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Black Archival, and Versamark
Tools - Big Shot, Mosaic Madness EF, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Aqua Painter, and Heat Gun
Extras - Silver EP, and 3D Pads

The Apothecary Art label was coloured with my Aqua Painter, and shaded with SU Markers, before being laid on silver card. The Butterfly was coloured the same way, with the wing edges and body touched with Versamark and heated silver EP. The sentiment was pieced together from the original stamp of "Happiest Birthday" using the Stamp-a-ma-jig.

I'm still recovering from my nightmare of loosing my all my comments, and I will make sure I don't have too many email pages open at the same time in the future!!

I hope you all have a good week, whatever you are doing.

DEVASTATED TO LOOSE COMMENTS

I am having a terrible day!!, and the straw that broke the camels back, is that I accidentally deleted approximately 2,200  comments from my Gmail account so has deleted all my comments on my blog posts between this April, and October last year. How did I manage it???? Well I thought I was in my BT (Internet supplier) Email account so merrily deleted the lot.

I am DEVASTATED, and am typing this through tears.  I have tried all that I can by following "help forums" on the Internet, and cant find out if it's possible to retrieve the comments. If any of you wonderful Bloggers and Blog genius's know how to resolve my problem, I will be forever in your debt.

I hope to be able to pull myself together in the next few days, and blog again, but right at this moment in time I cant face it

I hope someone can help me

We've got to take her back to the hospital tomorrow for another X-ray to make sure the bones are going to set in the right place. The poor little mite has really been through the wars lately, as she was in hospital with a blood poisoning virus a few weeks ago.

They say things come in threes, so let's hope Nathan's glasses are the last thing.(fingers crossed)

Thanks for dropping by, and I'll be back soon
