Lilac Lovelies

Yaaaaay! I won Top 3 at Try Stampin' on Tuesday with my Ark card. I'm really thrilled, so "Thank You" to their DT.
My card today is for five challenges

The first is Try Stampin' on Tuesday with this sketch,

second is Play Date Cafe with these colours,

third is CAS-ual Fridays who want to see ARROWS

forth is Stampin' Royalty want to see   STRIPES

and lastly, Addicted to Stamps where ANYTHING GOES

This is my card

My stripes of arrows are made from the leaf designs repeatedly stamped onto white card and laid diagonally on a white base. I then stamped the Allium three times
in Archival ink on white card cut with a Nestie, and used my Aqua Painter to colour them lilac. I stamped the sentiment, and then AAAAAAAAHHH!!!! I dropped it on the bottom of the panel, so I quickly covered it with a butterfly, can you tell? The finishing touches were the gems.

Stamps = Simply Soft, Madison Ave, and Tea Shoppe
Inks = Black Archival, Lovely Lilac, Primrose Petals, and Blushing Bride

What a week I've had. I have been helping my Step Dad, Dave, to build a retaining wall between my garden and that of my new neighbours. I've carried bricks, shovelled soil, mixed concrete, swept paths, and hosed the garden down from dust made when he cut concrete slabs. I don't think my joints have ever been this swollen and painful. It even hurts me to blink!!! And, I've missed some fantastic tennis at Wimbledon.

On top of this, my poor boy, Monty, has got streaming eyes from the grass pollen. I made a right fool of myself at the Vets as well. To get Monty to sit still for me to bathe his eyes, I say to him " show me puppies eyes" and he does just that, so, I told the Vet to say this for her to examine him, and, when she stopped laughing she treated his eyes with drops. Hopefully, if we have to go back I'll see a different Vet!!

Sorry for all the moaning, and thank you so much for dropping by

Wimbledon starts tomorrow, so guess where I'll be for most of the next fortnight? Yep, in front of the goggle box.........some crafting may get done, as knowing the British weather like I do, there are bound to be times where "rain stops play"!!

Fabulous Flowers

My card today is for two challenges

The first is ColourQ with these juicy colours,

and secondly, Mojo Monday with this sketch

This is what I made

I randomly stamped the flowers and leaf background on the white base, and on the right hand side, finished it with some red embossed card wrapped in ribbon, and two Nesties cut in half. The green leaves were stamped on the Nestie square, with the centre ones raised on 3D pads. Two red flowers were added with their centres on 3D pads, and the other flower was stamped in Versamark on Coral card, and heat embossed with white powder to give it white edges like the others when cut out. The finishing touch was the butterfly with a Gem body on the panel.

Blue Ark

Yaaaaay! I made Top Picks at Stampin' Royalty with my beach card, so a big "Thank You" to their DT!

My card today is for three challenges

First is Stampin' Royalty with this photo for inspiration,

second is Try Stampin' on Tuesday with this sketch,

and lastly, The Male Room , a new challenge for a masculine card ( still looking for a DT if you fancy a go!)

Here is my card

The Ark was stamped in black Archival ink so that I could colour it with my Write Markers and Aqua Painter ( this allows me to make one colour diluted so it gives more tones to use), and cut with a Nestie. I sponged the sky using a scallop circle for the clouds, and three blue cards were cut with decorative scissors for the sea. All were laid on crumb cake embossed with swirls.

Supplies :
Card = Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Island Indigo, Naturals White, Whisper White, and Ivory base FMS
Stamps = Two by Two, Papillon Potpourii, and Verve
Inks = Black Archival, Bashful Blue, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay,  and Midnight Muse
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Swirls EF, Aqua Painter, Elegant and Bitty Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D pads, Ribbon and Gems

I'm baby sitting tomorrow while my Sister and her husband are decorating, so I'll be back soon. Thanks for dropping by, and if you have the time, I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Fathers Day

Today my card is for two challenges

The first is CAS Colours and Sketches with these colours,
and the second is a new Male Only challenge called The Male Room. Jacqueline who has started it is looking for a DT, so if you fancy a go, pop over to the Male Room and give it a try.

Here is my card

I decided on a Fathers Day easel card, and used my Aqua Painter to make the three colours into varying shades. The flowers were stamped separately from the wheelbarrow in Archival black, and then once coloured I slit the card following the top of the barrow.
Next I cut around the flowers and long green leaves so that the wasted coloured in card went into the slit, where it was stuck into place. It was then raised on 3D pads to add some dimension. It was finished with a sentiment, ribbon, and butterfly on the bottom part of the card.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Flower Soft, and Papermania
Inks = Black Archival, Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, and Cajun Craze
Tools = Aqua Painter, Elegant and Bitty Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D pads, Ribbon, and Gems

I'm suffering today with my joints as I over did things doing my garden yesterday, so I'm going to have to take things easy over the weekend to recover. I hope you enjoy it whatever you are doing.

Another Brick in the Wall!

My card today is for two challenges

The first is Friday Mashup who gave us the
sketch AND/OR the brick technique,

and then Dynamic Duos who gave us these colours, with a dessert option of Plants

Here is what I made

I think I covered all bases and followed the sketch and the brick technique, together with the two colours, and the plants option.

After stamping the image in black, I coloured the flowers in green, and then cut it up into brick shapes.
These were laid on black card, which was then matted onto green card that had been stamped at one end with the vine from the central image. A sentiment and butterfly were the finishing touches.

Card = Black, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Fresh Cuts, and Cute Companions
Inks = Black, Archival, and pear Pizzazz
Tools = Martha Stewart Punch, Elegant and Bitty Butterfly Punches
Extras = Ribbon, 3D Pads, and Gems

I'm off babysitting tomorrow, so I'll be back soon

Yaaaaay! I've just found out I was in the Top Picks at Stampin' Royalty, so Thank You to the Goddesses!

My card today is for three challenges,
The colours are from Stampin' Royalty,

the sketch is Try Stampin' on Tuesday,

and CAS-ual Fridays want something linked with vacations and travel

Here is my card

The boy on the beach was stamped in Archival ink, and a sun and him were masked with a Post it, and the sky and sand were sponged over them. The scene was coloured with an Aqua painter so that the 3 colours went further in different shades.
A yellow flourish that made me think of Seaweed, was fussy cut and placed over some hessian that looks like a fishing net, and I added some aquatic beads to it. The finishing touches were the addition of some shell sequins in the bottom corner, and the stamped sentiment

Supplies :
Card = Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Pool Party, and white base FMS
Stamps = Summer by the Sea, Everything Eleanor, and Verve
Inks = Black Archival, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Starfruit
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Post Its, and Aqua Painter

I had a great birthday yesterday, and ate far too much chocolate cake, but after Mum had made it for me, it would have been rude not to, wouldn't it?! I wont tell you how old I am, but it was a good year for British Football at the World Cup?? The weather was wet, but we made the best of it, and it watered the flowers that Nathan and Sophie had lovingly planted for me.

Thanks fro dropping by today, I'm off now to get around every ones blogs  to see what you've all been up to.

Be back soon
