Bon Appetit!

Still no donkey foal, and I'm in panic mode every time the phone rings?

To take my mind of it, my friend came round this morning to craft, and I made this card

The wooden background was stamped on natural card and laid on a base. I then added some navy card with a MENU label added on the bottom. I die cut a cream circle, and drew an inner broken circle with a marker to make it look like a plate. I fussy cut a lobster and put it on the plate on 3D pads. I downloaded some clip art cutlery and stamped a pattern on the handles before grouping them together with a raffia bow. The finishing touch was the sentiment tag on the bow.

I am entering it in these challenges :

CAS Colours and Sketches have these colours,

They Call It Mellow Yellow!

Happy weekend everyone!.

Well, I've waved off the family as they drive down to Devon for a weeks holiday........and I'm glued to the phone as my sisters donkey is about to foal any minute, and I'm in the hot seat if it goes into labour!Aaaaah!

While I wait, I've made this card

I wrapped some Raffia around some pale yellow card that I had embossed, and laid it off centre on a white base. On 3D pads, I then added a yellow card square and topped it with a smaller white one, onto which I stamped two flowers and sentiment. Next, I stamped three yellow flowers and fussy cut them out, and arranged them with some punched leaves above the sentiment. The finishing touches were the gems in the flower centres and flower heads.

I am entering it in these challenges :

Wish You Were Here!

My plans for today with my niece and nephew, were postponed until tomorrow, so I've been crafting  in front of the fan instead. This is the card I've made

The first thing I did was sponge a water and sky scene on a white base card. I then stamped the wood grain on some brown card to make a beach groin, and cut a hole towards the top. I then cut a white ring with Nesties, and pieced together the sentiment from various stamps, and coloured two areas in red so it looked like a safety ring. This was placed on 3D pads around the hole in the wood, which was then stuck over the base also on 3D pads. I randomly stamped the flourish in white on some blue card and fussy cut half of it so it looked like a wave crashing against the groin, and this was stuck along the bottom of the card. I added a Sea gull sitting on the ring, and finished with some pearls for bubbles.

I am entering it in these challenges :

The sketch comes from Retro Sketches,

Inkspirational have word prompt  SPLASH,

and lastly Make My Monday, have the theme of    VACATIONS

Supplies :
Card - Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Whisper White, and base FMS

Lilac Daydreams

Today, as I promised, I have made a card without using my new flower stamp, and colouring in with my AP!
What do you think of this CAS card? I apologise for the poor photo quality, but the Gremlins are back in my camera!!

The medallions were stamped in various purple tones on white card, cut with a Nestie and laid on a lilac scallop circle, and then on 3D pads. The sentiment was stamped underneath, and it was finished off with butterfly shaped and tiny size gems.

I will be entering these challenges :

Today, I've melted in the heatwave we're having here in the UK, and I must be the only person in the country who is unhappy about the weather as it causes my RA to flare up. With the heat and my pain, sleeping is very difficult, so I am hoping and praying that the temperature will drop a little.

Tomorrow my niece and nephew are coming and we're going strawberry picking as they've never been. Luckily the farm we are going to, has the plants up on tables under poly tunnels, so it is easier than bending down to pick the fruit. I just hope it isn't too hot?

I have spent 3 and a half hours this afternoon, covering my huge pond with some netting. I have just discovered that my new neighbours cats have been having a feast most days (and nights) and have eaten more than their own body weights on my poor fish, so it wasn't the Herons as I'd first thought.  Monty has had a stern talking to for not doing his duties and chasing them off!!!

I'm off to my sisters tomorrow, and Nathan has told me to bring my crafting things, so I'll be back in a few days to show you what he makes. I don't know why, but when he says " crafting", he sounds like a farmer and says "craaaaftin", and it always makes me smile, Bless him.

Don't you think they have the artistic flare?

Mum comes out of hospital tonight, so I'm nearly back to normal, except I'm having my hospital treatment tomorrow again!! ( these four weeks soon come around! ) , so I'll be back very soon.
