Proud as a Peacock

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you've all had a great relaxing weekend, and are ready for another week of crafting?

Today I've got a card I've made for my friend to show you

The Peacock was stamped in black and coloured with my AP and SU markers, and then fussy cut and laid on some white card on 3D pads. I then embossed some blue, green, and red cards, and layered them side by side on a white base. The Peacock panel was layered on top, and a sentiment and some gems were added. The finishing touch was the single feather on 3D pads, and topped with a Mother of Pearl button and red ribbon bow.

I am entering these challenges :

The colours are from Color Throwdown,

the sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday,

Inkspirational want us to use

and lastly, Paper Players want to see
BUTTONS

I'm off to my Sisters tomorrow, as Nathan and Sophie want to do some crafting and make a card for Nana's birthday on the 24th of this month. We're hoping it will keep them busy enough to calm them down, as they are so excited about going on holiday on Saturday. They have already packed their cases with toys they want to take, and keep asking " how many sleeps till we go now Mummy?"

Here are my little darlings wearing their holiday Onesies.

Thanks for dropping by, and I hope you'll call again very soon

Goose and Gander

What a week I've had! but I'll explain more later.

My card today is my DT card for The Male Room, and also for two challenges

The sketch is from Clean and Simple

and the colours from Dynamic Duos

Here it is

I stamped the geese in Versamark on white card, and heat embossed them in black ( that's why they are shining in the photo as the camera flash reflected off their necks). I then stamped in brown the feathers, grasses, and sentiment in black on some more card, laid it on some crumb cake and white base. The geese were coloured and added on 3D pads, and the finishing touch was the pearls under the sentiment.

Supplies :
All are Stampin' Up unless stated otherwise
Card = Whisper White, Crumb Cake, and white base FMS
Stamps = Wetlands and Fine Feathers
Inks = Versamark, Black, and Crumb Cake
Tools = Heat Gun and Stamp-a-ma-jig
Extras = Black EP, 3D Pads and Pearls

It's my nephew, Nathan's, 6th birthday on Monday, so he is having a party on Sunday so his friends can all come to play. I've been busy making bunting, Sugar Icing Star Wars characters for his cake, and a paper machete dinosaur pinata( which I'll show you some other time )

The cat is not from Star Wars! I've had to make her with a pink scarf and bow for my 2 1/2 year old niece, Sophie, so she wont feel left out. Sophie insisted that she looked like the "Mummy Cat" from the Disney film, The Aristocats.

It's time for my hospital treatment again on Wednesday, so I'll be back asap. Have a great weekend....I'm in charge of party games and the bouncy castle!!

I randomly stamped feathers on some blue card, then cut the holes with a scalloped Nestie, and layered it from underneath with some navy circle Nesties. I have spent 3 and a half hours this afternoon, covering my huge pond with some netting. I have just discovered that my new neighbours cats have been having a feast most days (and nights) and have eaten more than their own body weights on my poor fish, so it wasn't the Herons as I'd first thought.  Monty has had a stern talking to for not doing his duties and chasing them off!!!

I'm off to my sisters tomorrow, and Nathan has told me to bring my crafting things, so I'll be back in a few days to show you what he makes. I don't know why, but when he says " crafting", he sounds like a farmer and says "craaaaftin", and it always makes me smile, Bless him.

Thanks for dropping by

Washi Tape Goose

Yaaaaaaayy!! I must start today's post with some "Thank You's" to DT's who have chosen my card as their Top 3. ( Sorry for blowing my own trumpet, but I'm over the moon!)

and third, Less is More, who want us to use
    WASHI TAPE

Here is my card

First, I coloured some masking tape with green SU WM, and stamped feathers on it with Archival ink, and once dry, I coloured the large feather with blue.
This was used to frame the stamped goose, who was coloured with orange using my Aqua Painter. He was then placed on 3D pads and laid on a diamond of green card, and onto a white base. Three corners were stamped with the wading birds in orange, and the sentiment was placed in the fourth.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, Green and base FMS
Stamps = Wetlands, Fine Feathers, and Simply Sketched
Inks = Black Archival, Pistachio Pudding, Peach Parfait, and Coastal Cabana
Tools = Aqua Painter, and Stamp-a-ma-jig
Extras = Masking Tape and 3D Pads

Before I leave you today, here are the birthday and get well cards, Nathan and Sophie made for my Mum ( Nana to them). I helped with the heat embossing, and cutting the Swallowtail out, but the colours and positions of flowers etc., were all done by the kids themselves.

Don't you think they have the artistic flare?

Mum comes out of hospital tonight, so I'm nearly back to normal, except I'm having my hospital treatment tomorrow again!! ( these four weeks soon come around! ) , so I'll be back very soon.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on these gorgeous stamps, and I think they go perfectly with the feathers set. Some brown feathers were placed peeping out from under the Nestie which was placed on 3D pads.

Supplies :
Card = Real Red, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, ands white base FMS
Stamps = Wetlands, Fine Feathers, and Express Yourself
