Sunset Silhouettes

Today my card is for five challenges

First is Try Stampin' on Tuesday with this sketch,

secondly is Less is More with this photo for colour inspirations,

third is Make My Monday who want
  SILHOUETTES

fourth is Stampin' Royalty who want us to USE SMALL SCRAPS

and lastly, but no means least, Addicted to Stamps want us to MAKE YOUR MARK using markers.

Here is my card

I started by sponging four colours across a circle of white card with a Post It note masking where the sun would be. (I scribble my SU Write Markers onto my acrylic block to make it easier to pick up the ink with a sponge). The mask was removed and the silhouette flowers and birds were stamped over the sponged sunset. This was mounted on a recycled brown scallop circle, and scraps of cards made into the banners and butterfly. The finishing touches were the sentiment and gem on the butterfly body.

Supplies :
Card = Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White, and Ivory base FMS
Stamps = Upsy Daisy, Papillon Potpourri, Clarity, and Docrafts
Inks = Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Apricot Appeal, Sahara Sand, and Soft Suede
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Post It, Sponges, Elegant and Bitty Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D Pads and Gems

I have enjoyed playing about today, with my brayer and sponges, to make the sunset sky, but I preferred the sponging result ( I cant show you the brayered result as it's on the reverse of the sponged sky, and I forgot to photograph it before sticking it down!)

Thanks for dropping by and hope you can call back again soon.

Cup of Roses

Yaaaay! I've just seen that I was one of the Goddesses Top Picks last week at Stampin' Royalty, so a big "Thank You" to them.

Today my card is for two challenges

First is this photo inspiration from Stampin' Royalty

and second is this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

Here is my card
( sorry about the poor photo, but I had to use the flash as it's dark now I've finished making it )

I started by embossing some green card and laying it onto a white base. I then randomly stamped tea cups onto white card, embossed some brown card, and matted them on some coral card. A blue tea cup was fancy cut and placed on 3D pads, and then some roses arranged inside it. A butterfly and sentiment finished it off.

Supplies :
Card = Certainly Celery, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, and Whisper White
Stamps = Stippled Blossoms, Tea Shoppe, and Papillon Potpourri
Inks = Black, Certainly Celery, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, and Pool Party
Tools = Big Shot, Dots EF, Fancy Fan EF, Nestabilities, Bitty Butterfly Punch, and Stamp-a-ma-jig
Extras = 3D Pads

Thanks for dropping by and I'll be back soon

Floral Corners

Yaaaaaay! I'm thrilled that I made Top 3 at Try Stampin' on Tuesday, so a big  "Thank You" to their lovely DT Ladies.

My card today is for two challenges

The first is Try Stampin' on Tuesday with this sketch from the talented Paula ,

and these colours from Color Throwdown

Here is my card

I started by heat embossing the flourish in opposing corners of some blue card, and adding a 2 layer flower with some leaves. I then fussy cut 3 turquoise flowers and leaves and laid them on a Nestie placed on 3D pads in the centre of the card. Some gems were added to the corner flowers, and 2 butterflies to the centre label, with the finishing touch being the sentiment again on 3D pads.

Here is a closer view of the corner detail and flower.

Supplies :
Card = Chocolate Chip, Pacific Point, Whisper White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Fabulous Florets, Everything Eleanor, Papillon Potpourri, and Tea Shoppe
Inks = Versamark, Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo, Chocolate Chip, and Lucky Limeade
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Heat Gun, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, and XCut Corner Rounder
Extras = 3D Pads, White Embossing Powder, and Gems

Thankfully it has been much cooler today, but they say there are more high temperatures on the way, so I've been busy doing chores that I've had on hold for a while. How I wish that someone would invent a robot to do the ironing!!

Thanks for dropping by today, and I hope you can call again soon

Yellow Magnolia

I'm posting my card late today as I've been out with my sister Ali, celebrating her birthday.

I will be entering my card into three challenges

The sketch comes from Paper Craft Crew,

the colours from Paper Players, and

Make My Monday are asking us to use a
NON INKED STAMP or NEW SHEET OF DECOUPAGE

Here it is

Finding an unused stamp in my stash was quite difficult, but as I have not used the Magnolia, Sentiment, and Butterfly stamps before, they are what I chose to use.

Supplies :
Card = Tempting Turquoise, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Simply Soft, Papillon Potpourri,  and Verve
Inks = Black Archival, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, and Tempting Turquoise
Tools = Big Shot, Dots EF, Nestabilities, Fiskars Scissors,  Bitty and Elegant Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D Pads and Gems

Now, as I teased you yesterday, I have some amazing news to share with you. I have been invited to be on the design team of a new challenge blog called The Male Room, aimed at masculine cards. Pop Over and have a look, as the first challenge goes live on 31st July with Anything Goes, and we would love it if you could join us.
I'm both thrilled and terrified at the prospect, and I hope that I don't let the other team members down. So I hope to see your lovely creations there on 31st.

Thanks for dropping by

Orchard Blossom

Yaaaaay! I'm thrilled to find out I'm an Honourable Addict over at Addicted to Stamps, so a big "Thank You" to their lovely DT.

My card today is for three challenges

The colours are from Addicted to Stamps,

the sketch is from Try Stampin' on Tuesday

and Friday Mashup want to see   NATURE

Here is my card

I stamped the branch several times on white card and added them together to reach through the frame. I then added some blossoms with pearl centres, leaves, and butterfly with gem body. The sentiment was added on 3D pads with another butterfly.

Supplies :
Card = Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Stippled Blossoms, Clarity, Papillon Potpourri, and Tea Shoppe
Inks = Chocolate Chip, Adirondack Meadow, and Blushing Bride
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Bitty and Elegant Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D Pads, Gems, and Pearls

I've made this card for my Sisters birthday on Tuesday. Ali has a plum orchard where she keeps her donkeys, and I thought the flowers would remind her of that ( also it makes a change from the usual cards I make for her that are dogs or donkeys!). I hope she likes it

It's still scorchio here, and sleeping at night is impossible, so I'm very tired and suffering with my RA, and now my new best friend is a big oscillating fan. I hope you're mangaging to cope where ever you are.

Bye for now

Workshop Tunnel card

Today I have a tunnel card to show you that I made at our monthly workshop. I used the colours from the challenge at Dynamic Duos

This is the front
The green card was cut along one edge with fancy scissors, and a white strip of card added that had been  repeatedly stamped with flowers and softly coloured with an Aqua Painter. The same flowers were stamped on a Nestie, with added butterfly, sentiment, and rose ribbon.

This is the tunnel inside. Again the repeating flowers were coloured with an Aqua Painter, and the edges defined with green fancy cut card. The butterflies with gem bodies are hovering over the die cut aperture.

The details of how to make this card have been posted on The Craft Club blog by our lovely friend and SU Demonstrator, Jacqueline. Click here to look at her awesome blog

Supplies :
Card = Gumball Green, Whisper White, Yellow and Ivory base FMS
Stamps = Simply Soft and Tea Shoppe
Inks = Black, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit
Tools = Big Shot, SU Nesties, Fiskars Scissors, Bitty and Elegant Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D Pads, Yellow Gems, and Rose Ribbon

I'm still having Internet problems, so please bear with me while I try to get the gremlins out.

Thanks for dropping by, I'll be back soon

Fabulous Flowers

My card today is for two challenges

The first is ColourQ with these juicy colours,

and secondly, Mojo Monday with this sketch

This is what I made

I randomly stamped the flowers and leaf background on the white base, and on the right hand side, finished it with some red embossed card wrapped in ribbon, and two Nesties cut in half. The green leaves were stamped on the Nestie square, with the centre ones raised on 3D pads. Two red flowers were added with their centres on 3D pads, and the other flower was stamped in Versamark on Coral card, and heat embossed with white powder to give it white edges like the others when cut out. The finishing touch was the butterfly with a Gem body on the panel.

Supplies :
Card = Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Fabulous Florets, and Papillon Potpourri
Inks = Poppy Parade, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral, Tempting Turquoise, and Black
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Fancy Fan EF, Bitty and Elegant Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D Pads, Ribbon, and Gems

Thanks for dropping by, and I'll be back soon

Fathers Day

Today my card is for two challenges

The first is CAS Colours and Sketches with these colours,
and the second is a new Male Only challenge called The Male Room. Jacqueline who has started it is looking for a DT, so if you fancy a go, pop over to the Male Room and give it a try.

Here is my card

I decided on a Fathers Day easel card, and used my Aqua Painter to make the three colours into varying shades. The flowers were stamped separately from the wheelbarrow in Archival black, and then once coloured I slit the card following the top of the barrow.
Next I cut around the flowers and long green leaves so that the wasted coloured in card went into the slit, where it was stuck into place. It was then raised on 3D pads to add some dimension. It was finished with a sentiment, ribbon, and butterfly on the bottom part of the card.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Flower Soft, and Papermania
Inks = Black Archival, Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, and Cajun Craze
Tools = Aqua Painter, Elegant and Bitty Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D pads, Ribbon, and Gems

I'm suffering today with my joints as I over did things doing my garden yesterday, so I'm going to have to take things easy over the weekend to recover. I hope you enjoy it whatever you are doing.
