Folded Frame Card

My card today was made at our Craft Club workshop. I had in mind the  colour scheme from the Dynamic Duos challenge, so based my card around these.

This is it

I made my own DSP with a Blue flourish one side and a Raspberry script stamp on the other. It was scored and folded to create the four corners as the frame sides, and then it was laid on some raspberry card and then blue card. The butterflies were stamped in raspberry on White card and punched out and placed on 3D pads.

The sentiment  and a coordinated border is all on the inside.

Supplies :
Card = Raspberry Ripple, Pool Party, White card  and base FMS
Stamps = French Foliage, Baroque Motifs, Papillon Potpourri, and Verve
Inks = Raspberry Ripple and Pool Party
Tools = Stamp-a-ma-jig, Elegant and Cute Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D pads

I have also made a new baby card for my sister who has made me an Auntie again at the weekend with the birth of little Henry George.

I embossed some blue card in the Big Shot, sponged the edges and wrapped it with a cream ribbon before laying it on a blue card base. The Ark was stamped in Black Archival on a white Nestie label, and coloured with Write Markers and an Aqua Painter.
I sponged over the edge of a scallop circle in the sky with blue to create clouds, and then layered this on a Navy, and a Crumb Cake label, before placing it down on 3D pads. I stamped the tag, layered it, and added it with a big cream bow.

For the greeting inside, I used a Curvy Verse broken up by a Verve sentiment so it reads,

" One little bundle of joy, many happy hearts!"

and I stamped the Ark again at the bottom of the insert in blue.

I hope Cass and Russell like it.

Supplies :
Card = Pacific Point, Night of Navy, Naturals White, Crumb Cake, and blue base FMS
Stamps = Two by Two, Curvy Verses and Verve
Inks = Black Archival, and Too Many to mention but all SU.
Tools  = Big Shot, Nestie Labels and scallop circle, Stamp-a-ma-jig, and Swirl EF
Extras = 3D pads and Ribbon

Hopefully, you haven't yet been bored to tears and have got this far down today's long post, for me to share with you the photos of Sophie and her rescued baby bunny.

Sophie is still breast feeding, and during a conversation her Mum was having with someone from the village explaining how they came about bringing Bunny home, the person asked Sophie if he was eating all her carrots, to which Sophie said " No he's having Mummy's boobies!!!"
My sister said she was so embarrassed by the response she just wanted to the earth to open up and swallow her.

Bless her. Out of the mouth of Babes!!!!!

Needless, to say, Mummy went straight home and got the carrots out for Sophie to give Bunny one.

As soon as the threat of cold weather is over, Bunny will be released back at the field for him to find his family or at least another bunny to live with.

Right, that's me done for tonight. I'm in hospital again tomorrow, so I may be AWOL for a few days but will hopefully be back soon.

Thanks for dropping by, and I hope I've not rambled on too much.

Floral Get Well

My second card of the day is one for the Clean and Simple challenge where they have this sketch

This is my second attempt, as the stems I drew to flow through the words on the first one didn't quite match up, although I prefer the pink with the green instead of the blues. What do you think??

This was my first attempt!!!!

Recipe:
Card = White from my stash
Stamps = Garden Silhouettes and Curvy Verses
Inks = Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Blushing Bride, and Melon Mambo
Tools = Stamp-a-ma-jig

Stampin' Royalty Challenge

This is the sketch for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge.                 Luckily I made my entry last night as I've had a nightmare of a day today. It didn't start too well when I went back to sleep after feeding the dog at 6am, and it's felt like I've been trying to make up for lost time all day. As well as this I've lost my mojo and have no creativity in my brain what so ever, and cant even match two colours together. I hope it will come back soon, as the last time this happened it went on for months and nothing could inspire me!!!!!!! Fingers crossed that over the weekend it will return.
Anyway, this is what I came up with.   After making the cards for the OLW at Simplicity, I was missing my BS, so just had to get it out and cut some labels and flowers for this one.

Recipe : Card stock is SU Whisper White,Lavender Lace, and Orchid Opulence
 Stamps : SU Curvy Verses
 Inks : SU Orchid Opulence
Tools : Big Shot & dies, Martha Stewart and Fiskars punches
Extras : Patterned paper, ribbon bow,and gems from my stash

Today has not been a good day............I've been out all morning, and then went rushing to mum's to water the garden pots and conservatory plants to get home for the tennis.....well,what is it they say "More haste, less speed"!!!!!, never a truer word was spoken. As I'd turned the outside hosepipe water on (which is controlled by a stopcock tap in the new extension being built) and walked back outside through the extension and conservatory to do the watering, the nozzle at the end of the hose was turned off,so the pressure built up in the pipe causing it to blow its connection at the inside tap, pouring gallons of water into the new extension which had become the dumping ground for garden chairs etc. and building equipment. By the time I'd realised why there was no water coming out of the hose and had gone back inside the place was flooded............I could have cried.
Some of the building supplies stored in the extension were too heavy for me to move so I could only mop up what I could reach.I'm praying that this predicted heatwave will happen tomorrow so it will help matters before the folks get back on Sunday evening.

Sorry for ranting and moaning, but now I've got it out of my system I'm starting to feel a bit better.

I'm still finding my way in this blogging lark, and this morning my friend Jacqueline has shown me how to do the labels and blinkies etc, so I hope I can catch up with things over the weekend and make my blog more appealing.

As always, thank you so much for dropping by,and I hope I haven't scared you away.
Hope to see you again soon. Bev.x

Brayered card

Today is overcast but there's no rain...Yay!, so I've been catching up with my overflowing linen basket and doing the washing. In between loads I've quickly made a card for Clean and Simple Stamping challenge. I used a piece of 4 1/2" X 6 1/2" silk card stock ( from Barbara Gray of Clarity Stamps) and brayered it with Adirondack inks in Pesto,Butterscotch, and Espresso. This was stuck onto cream card from my stash, and the same card was used in the central panel which was stamped with the dry grass stamp from SU Garden Silhouettes, and sentiment from Curvy Verses, in Rust Adirondack ink. The corners of the silk card and stamped panel were punched with MS corner punch.
The brayering didn't turn out how I'd planned, but I still like the effect,What do you think??

Got to pop to Mum's now as their off on a Barge holiday and I need to get my ' To Do' list for while they're away.

Hope to be back again soon. Thanks for dropping by
