Featured Stamper

Yaaaaay! I was the Featured Stamper with Color Throwdown last week with my Circus Mouse card, and as a result I have been asked to be their Guest Star Stamper this week. OMG ! I was so excited, that it took me ages to decide what to do with their colours

Well, after some deliberation, here is the card I came up with

Using the Color Throwdown palette, I stamped the blue wood grain background through a Framelit aperture, and topped it with a flower coloured with my AP and markers. Some leaf sprigs and sentiment banner were added, with some Mini gems on the centre of the flower to finish.

Circus Mouse

Hello All, I can't believe that it's Friday already! What happens to the time?, as each day seems to pass quicker than the day before it!

Oh well, today, I've made this playful card

I embossed some strips of green and blue cards, rounded the ends, and laid them side by side like the frill on a Big Top tent, over the top of some white glitter card. I stamped and coloured the mouse with my AP and markers, fussy cut him out, and placed him on 3D pads on the glitter card. The two hats he is juggling with were also placed on 3D pads so they look like they are in the air. The finishing touch was a strip of glitter card and the sentiment label.

The sketch comes from

the colours from

Still no sign of the donkey foal, and fingers crossed ( if I could ) it wont happen till late tomorrow, when my sister is home from their holiday!

Thankfully, the heatwave we were having seems to have ended, only to be replaced with thunder storms, rain, and cold winds!. I seem to be the only one who is happy about it, as the drop in air pressure helps my RA.

Anyway, have a great weekend whatever you have planned, and I'll be back soon

Apple for Teacher!

This is my second post tonight, just in case I get the call to go to my sisters field at any minute ( her donkey is due to go in to labour any minute)

First, I must say a big "Thank You" to Broni at Color Throwdown who said that she thought one of the outstanding cards in their challenge this week was my Peacock card, with "Gorgeously colored peacock and great embossed background panels!"

Now, here's my CAS card

First, I stamped the wood texture on white card, and placed it at the lower half of the base card, with a wobbly line around the top half. Next, I stamped the mouse on white card, coloured him with my AP and SU markers, and cut it with a Framelit in the Big Shot. This was then added on top of the wood panel with a sentiment printed on my laptop. The finishing touch was the gem dewdrop on the apple.

Under the Weather?

This is my second card of the day. I am going to give it to my friend who has bad Gout and Arthritis in her foot, and she is hobbling about at the moment on my borrowed crutches.

When I saw the "Singing in the Rain" theme at Less Is More, I thought of the iconic dance scene where Gene Kelly dances around a lamppost, and so I went straight for my lamppost stamp. After stamping it I coloured it with my AP and markers, fussy cut it out and placed it on a base card. The dots and drops were stamped
in the opposing corner with random teardrop gems added. To give the design some colour and texture, I stamped the small flowers and leaves and grouped them at the base of the lamppost. I know it's corny, but the only sentiment that I could think of was "Feel better soon", as the rain drops made me think of being "Under the weather".

I will be entering these challenges :
