Autumn Peacocks

Happy Monday Crafters. Today I have made these cards. I started with the blue tailed Peacock, but wasn't happy with it for the challenges I had in mind, so I made the green tailed version with a metal feather. Then I didn't want to waste the first bird, so I finished it off decoupaging the Peacock, and now I'm not sure which I like the best. Which do you prefer?

These are the challenges that I'm entering the top card in :

The sketch comes from Stampin' Royalty,

Make My Monday whose colour theme is
AUTUMN COLOURS,

Male Room want a male card with    METAL,

and lastly, Paper Players
want a MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD

Supplies :
Card - Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Raspberry Ripple, Bermuda Bay, and base FMS
Stamps - Perfect Peacock, Hardwood, Simply Sketched, and Verve
Inks - Black Archival, Bermuda Bay, Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow, Raspberry Ripple, Crumb Cake, and Hello Honey
Tools - Big Shot, Framelits Labels, and Stamp-a-ma-jig
Extras - 3D Pads and metal Feather skeleton

I'm off to see Sophie and Nathan tomorrow, and I'll see how much Buttercup has grown. Then I'm in hospital again on Wednesday, so I may not be crafting till the weekend. Have a good week whatever you are doing, and thanks for dropping by.

Circus Mouse

Hello All, I can't believe that it's Friday already! What happens to the time?, as each day seems to pass quicker than the day before it!

Oh well, today, I've made this playful card

I embossed some strips of green and blue cards, rounded the ends, and laid them side by side like the frill on a Big Top tent, over the top of some white glitter card. I stamped and coloured the mouse with my AP and markers, fussy cut him out, and placed him on 3D pads on the glitter card. The two hats he is juggling with were also placed on 3D pads so they look like they are in the air. The finishing touch was a strip of glitter card and the sentiment label.

The sketch comes from

the colours from

Stampin' Royalty want to see GLITTER

and lastly, Make My Monday, have the theme of CIRCUS

Stamps - House Mouse and Verve

Tools - Big Shot, Fancy Fan EF, Nestabilities, and Xcut Corner Rounder
Extras - 3D Pads

Still no sign of the donkey foal, and fingers crossed ( if I could ) it wont happen till late tomorrow, when my sister is home from their holiday!

Thankfully, the heatwave we were having seems to have ended, only to be replaced with thunder storms, rain, and cold winds!. I seem to be the only one who is happy about it, as the drop in air pressure helps my RA.

Anyway, have a great weekend whatever you have planned, and I'll be back soon

The Fisher King!

Yaaaay!, my Seagull card made Top 3 at Make My Monday, so a big "Thank You" to their lovely DT.

Today I've been rushing here, there, and everywhere, but I have managed to make this card ( and at 10.20pm I hope I'm not too late with this post for some of the challenges.)

The Kingfisher was stamped on white card and coloured with my AP and SU markers, and cut with a Nestie. I then stamped the wood texture on some neutral card, tore the edges, and laid it with 3D pads on some blue card. The sentiment was stamped and placed below the wood, and the Kingfisher label added on 3D pads with two leaves in the corner. Some more leaves were added as bunting in the opposing corner.

Walk on the Wild Side!

Today I've made this card for a man that likes to walk on the wild side!

I stamped the lion, then masked him so I could sponge the grass and stamp the long grasses around him using my markers. I then fussy cut the grass into a triangle for the foreground of the card. Next, I repeatedly stamped a tree (coloured with my markers) for the bushes and again fussy cut it into a triangular shape for the middle ground. Lastly, hiding behind the bushes I stamped a nosey giraffe, and the sentiment. The pieces were then put in their place with the lion and foreground raised on 3D pads.

I am entering it in these challenges :

The sketch is from Stampin' Royalty,

Wow, have we been having some thunder storms over the last two days?! No problem I thought, I'll do some crafting instead of going outside........ah!, with the power cuts we have no electricity..... so NO Internet! Aaaah!

So, today I've made this card while I can surf the net for challenges to enter in

I coloured the flower with my AP and markers and laid it on 3D pads on some purple and blue embossed cards, that were then laid on some brown card stamped with wood design. Some blue and purple silk threads were wrapped around the base, and a sentiment and butterfly added. To finish it, I placed some leaves around the flower, and randomly added some pearls.

The sketch is from Mojo Monday,

the colours from Stampin' Royalty, ( I also used a crumb cake bg like one of the DT, so I hope this is allowed?)

Spotlight Peacock

Yaaaay! I've just seen that my House Mouse card was Top 3 at CAS Colours and Sketches #79, so a big 'Thank You' to their DT.

My card today is using my new SU stamp, the beautiful peacock

I stamped the bird twice, and one was divided up into 3 squares. The three squares were then coloured with my AP and markers, and mounted on red card. The whole bird was left uncoloured and laid on red, and then a white card base. The coloured squares were then placed back on top of the base, with the one turned as a diamond and raised on 3D pads. The sentiment banners tuck under the diamond.

I am entering it in these challenges :

Howzat !!!

Well, that's another busy week over, and before I knew it, the weekend has started.

My latest order from SU has arrived, and I've been dying to use the markers and stamps, but I haven't had time to craft until tonight. Here's a card I needed for my friends cricket mad husband.

The cricketer was coloured with my aqua painter and SU markers, and mounted on orange card. I used a bamboo stamp to make some stumps, and stamped the sentiment over them, before doing the same as the player panel. I embossed the blue card with a texture that looked like the bails off the stumps, and added the two panels with 3D pads. I drew white stitches on the orange cricket ball and finished it with a twine bow.

I will also be entering it into these challenges :

The sketch comes from Freshly Made Sketches

the colours from Hand Stamped Sentiments, (a new challenge I've found)

The Male Room has the theme of
GAMES

and lastly, Stampin' Royalty have ANYTHING GOES

Supplies :
Card - Marina Mist, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, and base FMS
Stamps - Papermania, Inkadinkado, and Simply Sketched
Inks - Black Archival, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, and Lost Lagoon
Tools - Big Shot, Sizzix Textures, Aqua Painter, and Nestabilities
Extras - 3D Pads, White Gel Pen, and Bakers Twine

It was at Nathan's sports day on Tuesday, where he did very well in helping his house come second.

Here he is with his rosette for 2nd in the sack race.

He was running so fast in the egg and spoon race that this is the only clear picture that I took.

It was also my SD, Dave's,  birthday on Wednesday, and Nathan and Sophie thought it would be funny to buy him a Darth Vader onesie. I think Halloween has come early, don't you??

That's all for now, so until the next time, have a good weekend (what's left of it!)
