The Fisher King!

Yaaaay!, my Seagull card made Top 3 at Make My Monday, so a big "Thank You" to their lovely DT.

Today I've been rushing here, there, and everywhere, but I have managed to make this card ( and at 10.20pm I hope I'm not too late with this post for some of the challenges.)

The Kingfisher was stamped on white card and coloured with my AP and SU markers, and cut with a Nestie. I then stamped the wood texture on some neutral card, tore the edges, and laid it with 3D pads on some blue card. The sentiment was stamped and placed below the wood, and the Kingfisher label added on 3D pads with two leaves in the corner. Some more leaves were added as bunting in the opposing corner.

I am entering it into these challenges :

The sketch is from Paper Craft Crew,

The colours from Pals Paper Arts

Friday Mashup wanted the

All About the Butterflies

Hello, I hope you are all having a great weekend? This is my first day out of bed after my hospital treatment, so I still feel a little fragile. To start the day off gently, I have made this Butterfly card.

The main image consists of the word "Butterfly" in different languages, with small butterflies flying around. I coloured the whole image with my AP, and the small butterflies with my markers. I then stamped the image on some saffron card to cut out the two tags, and stuck them down on 3D pads. This was then laid on some coral and saffron card that had been wrapped with a ribbon and bow. The large butterfly was coloured with my AP and markers and placed on the large tag with 3D pads. To finish it off, I added the sentiment, two Swallowtail butterflies and gems on the insects bodies.

I am entering these challenges

The sketch is from Seize the Sketch,

the colours from Colour Me,

Make My Monday  have the theme of
         BUTTERFLIES

and lastly, Addicted to Stamps have

Stamps - Simply Sketched, Papillon Potpourri, and Clarity ( I think? )
Inks - Black Archival, Strawberry Slush, Hello Honey, and So Saffron

Thanks for dropping by, and I'll be back soon

It's not easy to photograph, so I've taken a picture with some pale blue card behind it.

The central panel and large white triangle have been embossed, and the tree and stag have been double heat embossed with clear powder, fussy cut and placed on 3D pads. The finishing touches were the addition of gems on the tree and acetate swirls.

Travel Stamps

Morning Stampers, this is my DT card for The Male Room, where our challenge this week is a male card with the main focus being TRAVEL OR TRANSPORT

I went for Stamps from around the world on a world map background. I will also be entering it into Fab Friday who have these colours.

All are Stampin' Up unless stated otherwise
Card = Naturals White, Whisper White, Black, and white base FMS

Inks = Black, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, and Old Olive
Tools = Stamp-a-ma-jig, and Sponges

I've been in the wars again! I fell over in the kitchen and bashed my head against the door frame, and badly bruised my arms and legs, not to mention my pride!!. Once I stopped the tears, it took me a good ten minutes to gather enough strength to get up, and to stop Monty jumping on me as he sensed something was wrong.
I now have a terrible cold that I caught from Nathan at his birthday party. He loved his cake and Pinata, and I now have to make a Halloween one for him and his friends for Trick and Treat night! No pressure there then!! Here is his dinosaur one I made.

This is the side view. There are lots of layers of paper mache, and then several layers of Magnolia paint.

Here he is painted in a pale green, with the face and spots details made from pieces of coloured card glued on and finished with a black marker.

I hope I get some time for crafting and blog hopping this week, as I've been a little slack with one thing and another, I'm Sorry.

Hope you can drop by again soon, and thank you for your lovely comments.

Yaaaaay! I am thrilled to see I made Top 3 at Make My Monday with my balloon card, so I must say a big "Thank You" to their lovely DT ladies.

My card today is for two challenges

First is Make My Monday with this photo inspiration,

and second is Mojo Monday with this sketch

Here is my card

I embossed the background and strung some bunting across it with added flowers with pearl centres. I then made the dress on the tailors dummy with SU Framelits, and added a silk gathered ribbon underskirt. The sentiment Nestie was added on 3D pads, and finally the trio of Hydrangea blooms.

Supplies :

Inks = Black, Blushing Bride, and Certainly Celery
Tools = Big Shot, Dress Up Framelets, Nestabilities, and Sizzix Textures
Extras = Bakers Twine, 3D Pads, Readicut Flower Punches, Ribbon, and Pearls

We've had some terrible thunder storms this week, with more forecast, but at last the temperature has dropped a little and the garden has had some much needed water!. The other good news us Brits are celebrating is the arrival of Prince George to William and Kate ( Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ). HIP HIP HOORAY!!

Also, I'm very excited as there are only 6 days left to the launch of The Male Room , I do hope you can play along and show support for it's creator Jacqueline, and see the lovely cards from her and her DT. I'll be seeing you there very soon

Bye for now

Orchard Blossom

Yaaaaay! I'm thrilled to find out I'm an Honourable Addict over at Addicted to Stamps, so a big "Thank You" to their lovely DT.

My card today is for three challenges

The colours are from Addicted to Stamps,

the sketch is from Try Stampin' on Tuesday

and Friday Mashup want to see   NATURE

Here is my card

I stamped the branch several times on white card and added them together to reach through the frame. I then added some blossoms with pearl centres, leaves, and butterfly with gem body. The sentiment was added on 3D pads with another butterfly.

Supplies :
Card = Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Stippled Blossoms, Clarity, Papillon Potpourri, and Tea Shoppe
Inks = Chocolate Chip, Adirondack Meadow, and Blushing Bride
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Bitty and Elegant Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D Pads, Gems, and Pearls

I've made this card for my Sisters birthday on Tuesday. Ali has a plum orchard where she keeps her donkeys, and I thought the flowers would remind her of that ( also it makes a change from the usual cards I make for her that are dogs or donkeys!). I hope she likes it

It's still scorchio here, and sleeping at night is impossible, so I'm very tired and suffering with my RA, and now my new best friend is a big oscillating fan. I hope you're mangaging to cope where ever you are.

Bye for now

At the beach

Yaaaaaay! I've just seen that I was a Glamette at Friday Mashup with my brick wall technique, so "Thank You Lisa" for picking my card.

My card today is for four challenges

First is ColourQ with these colours,

second is Friday Mashup who want a
Beach project and/or masking technique

third is Less is More with SAND

and lastly, Addicted to Stamps where ANYTHING GOES

Here is my card

I started by stamping the two children in Archival Ink on white card, and covering them with Post It Notes. I stuck a Post It circle in the top where the sun will be, and with pieces of a scalloped circle for clouds,  I sponged  over the area with blue to make the sky (sorry it's
not clear in the photo). I sponged under some torn paper with yellow to make a sandy beach, and then drew a line in blue to make the sea. The scene was coloured with an Aqua Painter to make the colours go further, and laid on a grey Nestie on a lilac embossed card wrapped with white ribbon.

Supplies :
Card =  Orchid Opulence, Grey, Naturals White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Summer by the Sea, Clarity birds, and Cute Companions sentiment
Inks = Black Archival, Pool Party, Orchid Opulence, and Summer Starfruit
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Swirl EF, and an Aqua Painter
Extras = Post It Notes, and Ribbon

I do enjoy making scenes by putting different stamps together, and there is something therapeutic about the sponging  technique that gives a rewarding result. I hope you like it.

I'm off to see my Sisters today. Cassy is bringing Henry to Ali's house, and then we're all going to see Ali's new baby donkey. We had no idea that Lily the Pink ( donkey ) was even pregnant, so she surprised us all by producing a foal, now named Clover.

I'm in hospital again on Wednesday for more treatment so I may be AWOL for a while, but I'll be back soon

Thanks for dropping by

Pop Up Accordion card

Today at our club workshop we made a Pop Up Accordion card which I'll be entering into the Make My Monday challenge where they want something made in yellow and green

Here is the front of the card

The Big Shot was used to cut the yellow, green, and white Nestie labels, 3 of which were stuck together leaving a small pop up in the centre of each, which the small white labels were attached to. I stamped and fussy cut some yellow blooms and leaves which I laid onto these. I added two blooms to the back of the central panel (can be seen at the edges along the fold of the base card).

The sentiment was stamped on the bottom of the card and highlighted with a small rose and leaves, while the opposite corner had a green Nestie underneath the flower. Butterflies were added to the centres to draw the eye in.
This is a side view to show you the Pop Up Accordion part of the card.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, Yo Yo Yellow, Green Galore, and white base FMS
Stamps = Stippled Blossoms, Baby Blossoms, Clarity, and Papillon Potpourri
Inks = Black, Yo Yo Yellow, Crushed Curry, Certainly Celery, and Gumball Green
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Elegant and Bitty Butterfly Punches
Extras = Ribbon and 3D pads

Poor Sophie ended up in A&E today after she fell and banged her head in the garden, so I'm off to look after her tomorrow.

Thanks for dropping by, and Bye for now

Willow Lady

Yaaaaay! I came Top 3 at Make My Monday with my swing card, so "Thank You" DT , I'm thrilled.

Today, I've been around at my friends playing with stamps and techniques that are new to her, and I made a card for two challenges.

The first is Make My Monday with this book as inspiration, either the story, or cover, or both

The second is Less is More where they want to see a
Coloured card blank

This is my CAS card

Inspired by the book cover, the lady was stamped onto a white Nestie that was matted on a black one, and then laid on 3D pads onto a pink base. To keep the card CAS, I embossed a zigzag line around the card to suggest the aged look without actually distressing it, and stamped the sentiment beneath the lady.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, Black, and pink base FMS
Stamps = Clarity and Fiskars
Inks = Black
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, Embossing board and tool FMS
Extras = 3D pads

Thanks for dropping by
