Summer Mojito's!

Here we are, half way through another week! Doesn't time fly?

Today this is the card I've made

I first stamped the sprigs of leaves and the lattice, and then added the sentiment over it. I then stamped the flowers, fussy cut them out, and arranged them over the leaves. One of the yellow flowers was laid on 3D pads, and the finishing touches were the mini gems in the centre of the flowers and 3 scattered around the lattice.

I am entering these challenges :

Retro Sketches have this sketch,

Less is More have this colour palette (and Happy Birthday to Sarah)

Inkspirational want us to use
MARKERS OR PENCILS

and lastly, Addicted to Stamps have
MAKE YOUR MARK

Supplies :
Card - Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, and base FMS
Stamps - Summer Silhouettes and Simply Sketched
Inks - Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Gumball Green, Lucky Limeade, Bermuda Bay, and Hello Honey

During my hectic day with Nathan and Sophie yesterday, they made these cards using my Big Shot ( or "Magic Rolling Machine" as Nathan calls it ) for their Nana's birthday. They chose everything themselves, their colours, die cuts, and layouts.

Under the Weather?

This is my second card of the day. I am going to give it to my friend who has bad Gout and Arthritis in her foot, and she is hobbling about at the moment on my borrowed crutches.

When I saw the "Singing in the Rain" theme at Less Is More, I thought of the iconic dance scene where Gene Kelly dances around a lamppost, and so I went straight for my lamppost stamp. After stamping it I coloured it with my AP and markers, fussy cut it out and placed it on a base card. The dots and drops were stamped
in the opposing corner with random teardrop gems added. To give the design some colour and texture, I stamped the small flowers and leaves and grouped them at the base of the lamppost. I know it's corny, but the only sentiment that I could think of was "Feel better soon", as the rain drops made me think of being "Under the weather".

I will be entering these challenges :

The sketch is from Sunday Stamps,

the colours are from

Less is More  with the theme of

Ring of Flowers

Yaaaay! I've just seen that I was one of the Top Picks at Sunday Stamps, so a big "Thank You" to Marie, and the DT.

Well the weather stopped play for me today, but I'm glad it did, as instead of doing the gardening, I made this card. Looking for flowers, I turned to my favourite stamp set of the moment, Apothecary Art from SU.

I am entering into the following challenges:

The sketch is from Sunday Stamps,

the colours from ColourQ,

the Paper Players have a theme of clean and simple
"FLORAL"

and lastly, Less is More also have a theme of
"FLOWERS"

I coloured the flowers with my Aqua Painter and SU Markers, and fussy cut it before laying it on turquoise card that I also cut by hand. I pieced the sentiment together using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, and placed some tiny gems on the added butterfly.

Supplies :
Card - Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, and base FMS
Stamps - Apothecary Art and Papillon Potpourri
Inks - Black Archival, Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade, and Melon Mambo
Tools - Aqua Painter, Big Shot, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Fancy Fan EF, Fiskars Scissors, and Butterfly Punch
Extras - 3D Pads and Gems

I must get a new daylight bulb for the lamp in my study/craft room, as the photos taken with my old camera are quite dark, so I apologise if the colours don't look quite right. Either that, or I must find time to do my photos and posting earlier in the day!

Thanks for dropping by, and I hope you all have a good weekend.
