Rosey Valentine

Hello All,

Today's card is a soppy romantic one for Valentines Day. I will be entering it into three challenges.

The first is Our Creative Corner

who have this sketch,

The second is Dynamic Duos who want us to use these colours,

and last is Stampin' Royalty who want a project with Love or Valentines in mind.

Here is my card

All the flowers were coloured with Write Markers and 2 step stamped onto white card, cut out, and one of the two roses raised on 3D pads, and all placed on a white Nestabilities Label. The leaves came from the SU bird punch, and while using it I saw that the birds wing could be used to make a heart, and these too were stuck on 3D pads

These pictures will show you how I saw a heart form

Recipe :
Card = Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Green Galore, White card FMS
Stamps = Baby Blossoms, and text stamps that I've had for years.
Inks = Real Red, Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, and Gumball Green
Tools = Big Shot, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Bird Punch, Spellbinders Fleur De Lis pendant and Label
Extras = 3D pads

Yesterday I helped my 5 year old nephew,Nathan, make his Valentine card, but I forgot to photograph it so I'm waiting for my sister to do it and email it to me, so I can show you his crafting talents.

I thought I'd also show you a photo of Boris, one of Santa's Army Elves ( who I made up for Nathan ) and the Primo version I made for him to go on the Christmas tree ( and who also had a starring role in the school Fairytale day ). So my niece, Sophie wouldn't feel left out, I made an Angelina Ballerina Mouse for her.

I hope you don't think that I'm losing the plot!!!! but doing these silly things has helped me get through the last 6 months or so.

Anyway, Thanks for dropping by today and have a good weekend

Enjoy your Day

Well I didnt have any dream or thoughts on the lottery numbers, so I'm still here crafting........mind you, even if I DID win the lottery I would still be crafting as I've have more time to do it, and be able to pay people do all the other stuff..............no harm in dreaming I suppose!

In the short time I've been awake today I've made a card to enter in to the Clean and Simple challenge # FTL156 where they have this sketch.

My trusty Big Shot is still on the table from yesterday so it was my influence on the makings for the card.

I started with a white card and stamped the sentiment on the left hand side in green. Then through the BS I put some brown card and a pendant die, some green card and a border die, yellow card and a flower die (twice), and some  bright green card with 2 leaf shapeabilities. All these bits were layered on the border which was placed on the right hand side. The finishing touch was the bumble bee which had been stamped on some acetate and was left over from a project a few days ago.

Here is the end result, have a look and see what you think?

I hope you liked it.

Recipe : Card = SU Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Green Galore, Yo Yo Yellow, and white card from my stash
Inks = Handsome Hunter, Adirondack Black, Butterscotch and Espresso
Tools = Big Shot, SB Border, Pendant, and Shapeabilities
Stamps = Verve sentiment and Inkadinkado Bee

Thanks for dropping by, and I'd love it if you could leave me a comment if you have the time.

Hope to be crafting again soon so I'll see you then

Bliss Just For You

Hello and thanks for dropping by.

Another quick blog today due to the tennis, but I'll be crafting while watching in case Nadal takes his shirt off again ( I didn't know there were that many muscles in the human body!!!)

My card today is for the Mojo Monday challenge and again I've used one of my favourite SU sets, Bliss. I just adore the flourish in this set and here I've masked off the sides to make the image fit nicely into the center of the label.

The materials used are : SU Apricot Appeal, Ruby Red, Real Red card stock, and cream card from my stash.
Ink : SU Dusty Durango
Stamps : SU Bliss and Woodware sentiment
Others : Patterned paper, cream ribbon, heart brad from stash.
Tools : Big Shot, label dies, and square pendant die

Thanks for looking and hope to see you again soon.

Enjoy the tennis as I know I will. Bev.x

Pastel Double

Well I've packed the folks off on their holiday, so I've rushed home to get another challenge done before I run out of time to enter. This card is a double whammy......the colours are inspired by Stampin Royalty and the layout by Pals Paper Arts challenges.

I started with 5" x 5" SU Whisper White card and layered it with a square of Pretty In Pink that was embossed in a Budding Vine folder in the BS. I then used a MS punch to make the card ribbon in Bashful Blue.Blush Blossom card was cut with the square SB Shapeabilitie and Orchid Opulence ink used  to stamp the flower from Garden Silhouettes in its center. The rosette was made with the BS in OOpulence, PIPink, and BBlossom, and Woodware sentiment stamped in OOpulence. The flowers and rosette were highlighted with pink and lilac gems.

I hope you like it.
That's it from me for now,but please come back when you have a chance to, and if you've got time, please leave me your comments.
Thanks very much, Bev.x

Die cut flowers x 2

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by.

What a busy day I've had, flying around like a headless chicken finding something for my birthday on Thursday ( subtle aren't I !!), why does the time fly when you're having fun spending other peoples money??? Anyway, tired as I am I just had to see  what the Make My Monday challenge was about this week ( only their 2nd challenge since starting up, but well worth a look) and the topic was Die cut flowers. I also popped over to the Mojo Monday challenge and their sketch also had flowers in it, so,I
thought I'd try to combine them both.                                                      I used the sketch as my starting point, and on a white card from   my stash I stamped Inkadinkado flourishes on it with SU Rich Razzleberry. With a MS punch, I shaped the top and bottom of a piece of RRazzleberry card and wrapped a broad ribbon from my stash around it.My trusty Big Shot was then used to cut a SB square in RRazzleberry and Orchid Opulence, 2 OOpulence flowers and 1 RRazzelberry flower ( all the flowers consist of several layers which were shaped before sticking together, and the centers were finished with a Fiskars punch and a gem.)The Woodware sentiment was stamped  in RRazzelberry onto WWhite card mounted on more RRazzelberry card.  I hope the card will fit both challenges, what do you think???

I'd better go now as I need to pack my crafting stuff together for Jacqueline's club in the morning, we're making Tri shutter cards, and I've promised not to talk too much so we can actually get some crafting done!!!!!

If you can, pop back tomorrow to see if we manage to complete the task!!
Thanks, Bev.x

Mojo Monday Madness

Its time again for  another Mojo Monday challenge #193 and this is this weeks sketch :-

After taking my elderly neighbour, Gordon, shopping,I went round to my friend Jacquelines to create my entry for this weeks challenge. We did the usual gossiping over coffee while I recovered from my shopping ordeal, before starting to craft, and, after opting to do the square card, what did I automatically reach for????......yep,you guessed it,bright pink and green papers and card!!!!!!What is wrong with me???Anyway here it is ( put sunglasses on now)

The 6"x6" card is SU Whisper white, and the  papers were given to me some time ago by Jacqueline, and the centre square is cut with Spellbinders die with SU Gable green card. I then coloured the cream butterfly ribbon and a white card Spellbinders butterfly with Pixie pink ink to alter the colour to match the patterned papers. The die cut butterfly was then put through a Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy embossing folder, before gems were stuck on its body.Gems were also added to the green square.

On reaching home some 4 hours later,as I rushed to turn my lap top on,my friend Rita called in for a cuppa and chat. After another couple of girly chatting hours, I remembered that I have a man coming to my bedroom tomorrow morning!!!!.....IN MY DREAMS..........He's only calling to install digital TV to my bedroom portable.OH Well, anyway I had to change the bedding and make sure the room was tidy ( you know how we girls are like about our boudoirs!!). You may think that I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill, but for those of you who dont know me, I suffer from severe Rhuematoid Arthritis so what takes a normal person  half an hour, takes me 2 hours.

Now with everything done I can finally sit down and do my blog.
Thanks for dropping by and look out for my next creation as I'm going to attempt something daring without a safety net,and use muted tones!!!
See you soon,Bev.x

Best wishes

I've had a great morning today! I had a lie in, then got together my crafting bits and pieces, and sat creating in front of the TV watching the Monaco Grand Prix and French Open Tennis, with plenty of hot coffee and a bar of Cadburys chocolate to keep me going......MMMMMMmmmmmmm!! I made the second Thank You card I needed (see yesterdays post) and my entry for the Less Is More challenge. Here is my card,I hope you like it......I have noticed that more and more my style seems to be to use really bright colours! Do you think my psyche is trying to tell me something???

I have sponged the bottom left hand corner with SU Pretty In Pink ( my camera angle doesn't show this very well I'm sorry ),and used my Spellbinders Shapeabilities  to cut the square in Green Galore card stamped at the bottom in SU classic black with Woodware sentiment, topped off with a Pretty In Pink Spellbinders butterfly put through a budding vine embossing folder by Craft Concepts, all finished with a couple of gem stones from my stash.

Thanks for calling by today and please pop back tomorrow to see something that took me ages to put together for another challenge. Bye for now, Bev.x
