Autumn Hues

Is the weekend over already? Where does the time go? Thankfully, I found some time to make this card.

I stamped the trees in Versamark and heat embossed them with white powder, and sponged over them and a Post It note sun with the Fall colours, I did the same to some leaves on a strip of white card, but also added some randomly stamped leaves. I embossed some stripes on brown card and laid this by the side of the stamped card with 3D pads on a base. Instead of ribbon, the cards were wrapped with plated raffia of the three colours for a more masculine feel, and the trees and sentiment were added also on 3D pads.

I am entering these challenges :

The Autumn colours come from Color Throwdown

and the theme of
FALL at Paper Players,

The Male Room also have a FALL theme

Buttercup is still with us, although she thinks she is a dog instead of a donkey!? She wont drink from a bucket yet so is still being bottle fed, much to my sister's annoyance as she isn't getting much sleep. I will be going to see her on Tuesday so I'll see how much she's changed over the weekend.

Until next time, thanks for dropping by

Yesterday, When posting my watery scene, I forgot to add these photos of my dog Monty, on the beach whilst on holiday in Angelsey, North Wales.

Here he is racing to the sea with his pals, Duff (a black Lab) and Jasper (Lurcher). The tide was out so they had a nice long run to the water.

The look on his face tells how cold the sea was!,

but he still had to go in several times before he decided enough was enough!

No time for crafting today as it's my BIL's birthday, and I'm in hospital again on Wednesday, so while my mojo seems to be returning, I hope to be back real soon.

Remembrance Day

Today, this is my DT card for The Male Room with a theme of Remembrance,  and I'll also be entering it into three challenges

The sketch is from Clean and Simple,

the colours from Dynamic Duos,

and Addicted to Stamps  want to see something

CLEAN AND SIMPLE

Here it is

As the 11th November is Remembrance Day, and our theme is Remembrance, I've created a poppy out of red butterflies made with a punch, as my focal point.

Supplies :
All are Stampin' Up unless stated otherwise
Card = Real Red, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, and white base FMS
Stamps = Loving Thoughts and Fiskars
Inks = Black
Tools = Big Shot, Mosaic Madness EF, Butterfly Punch, Readicut Punch, and Fiskars Scissors
Extras = Ribbon and 3D Pads

What with half term and Halloween, I've been really busy with my niece and nephew. These are the pumpkins that we made, Sophie wanted a cat?, hence the straw whiskers!

Here we are before the kids smashed the pinata, and we went off Trick and Treating. I'm the green faced witch (and by the way that's a false nose!), Nathan is a zombie skeleton, and Sophie is a witch with a cats face?

Here's a close up of the pinata.

I hope you all had as much fun as we did, but I have to say I'm glad it's only once a year, as the green face paint gets everywhere.

Anyway, today I'm going Christmas shopping with my Mum and Sophie, and we are going to take her to the big garden centre to see all the decorations. Thanks for dropping by, and I'll be back soon

I've been in the wars again! I fell over in the kitchen and bashed my head against the door frame, and badly bruised my arms and legs, not to mention my pride!!. Once I stopped the tears, it took me a good ten minutes to gather enough strength to get up, and to stop Monty jumping on me as he sensed something was wrong.
I now have a terrible cold that I caught from Nathan at his birthday party. He loved his cake and Pinata, and I now have to make a Halloween one for him and his friends for Trick and Treat night! No pressure there then!! Here is his dinosaur one I made.

This is the side view. There are lots of layers of paper mache, and then several layers of Magnolia paint.

Here he is painted in a pale green, with the face and spots details made from pieces of coloured card glued on and finished with a black marker.

I hope I get some time for crafting and blog hopping this week, as I've been a little slack with one thing and another, I'm Sorry.

Hope you can drop by again soon, and thank you for your lovely comments.
