Green Monday

Well I've been busy again over the last few days, but I managed to find some time to make my card for the Mojo Monday challenge who have this sketch this week.

I started with a cream card from my stash and layered it with some SU Gable Green card that had been put through the BS in a Cottage Floral embossing folder. I then cut a rectangle in Garden Green and put that in the BS with a Budding Vine embossing folder. I cut 3 lengths of green ribbon from my stash and staggered them hanging from the bottom of the rectangle.
While the BS was on the table, I cut a Yo Yo Yellow SB scallop circle and 2 shapeabilities which were stuck on the Garden Green rectangle. I then stamped the flowers from Itty Bitty Buds onto a circle of Whisper White in YYYellow, Crushed Curry, and GGreen and placed it in the center of the scalloped circle. Two of the flowers were stamped on WWhite, cut out and then stuck down to give them a slightly raised and over lapping  look.
The finishing touch was the sentiment from Happy Moments stamped in GGreen onto WWhite card layered on some Garden Green.

I was pleased with the green and yellow combo, what do you think?

Recipe : Card : SU Garden Green, Gable Green, Yo Yo Yellow, Whisper White, and cream card from my stash
Inks : Yo Yo Yellow, Crushed Curry, Gable Green
Stamps : Itty Bitty Buds and Happy Moments
Tools : Big Shot, Spellbinders nestabilities and shapeabilities, and Craft Concepts embossing folders
Extras : green ribbon from my stash

I'm off to spend the day with Nathan and my sister tomorrow, but I hope to be back crafting in a day or two.

Thanks very much for dropping by, I hope you liked what I'd made.

Whimsical Wings Double

For those of you who follow my blog, you will know where I will be this afternoon!!!!

Today I've created a "Double Whammy" and mixed 2 challenges. The first, Clean and Simple Stamping gave me this sketch, and the second, Simply Stampin Challenge gave me these colours to work with, Certainly Celery, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, and Real Red

I started with a white card and masked 1 1/2" off the bottom and stamped the Whimsical Wings large flourish randomly to create a border. Then I used my beloved BS and labels nestabilities to cut a Whisper White and Poppy Parade label, and a strip of Certainly Celery placed under the bottom of the label. The WWings bird was stamped in Real Red and CCelery onto the WWhite and the little flower was from Itty Bitty Buds also in RRed.I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment from Whimsical Words and stamped it in RRed in the bottom corner, with the flourish in CCelery below it.

Take a look at the outcome

Tomorrow morning I'll be at Jacquelines and hopefully we can get some crafting done, I'll let you know how we get on!!!

Thanks for all your lovely comments, they are gratefully received and appreciated. Please come back soon if you can.

Floral Thank You

Would you believe it, I actually got something made at my friend Jacqueline's today??? We still did loads of chatting over coffee, and took hours to do it, but I did make a card.

It's going in to her blog Make My Monday challenge which still features flowers, but this week there is a sketch.

I started with a card of 6" x 6" SU Whisper White, on which I layered a square of SU Gable Green which had been stamped with the small leaf from SU Itty Bitty Buds in Certainly Celery.I then cut 4 squares of Pretty In Pink and randomly stamped them with the 2 small flowers from IBB, and sponged the edges with Regal Rose before placing them evenly spaced on the GGreen.I then stamped the blossom branch from Garden Silhouettes onto WWhite card in Melon Mambo and CCelery, sponged edges again in RRose and layered onto CCelery card stamped as the first mat. This panel was stuck down with 3D pads with a MMambo Woodware sentiment and square gems from my stash up the right hand side.

Jacqueline's daughter Briony has brought home a gorgeous little black kitten called Louis, and his mews were so pitiful as he was trying to get into Jacqueline's craft room, it really pulls on your heart strings. I stroked him goodbye when I left, and Monty's face when I got home was one of complete and utter contempt, you'd have thought I'd taken his favourite toy away ( that's his ducky by the way!). Well like a typical male he sulked for a while but soon forgave me when I gave him a biscuit ( how fickle is that??!!).
Tomorrow he's going to get a real treat as Nathan and I are going to shave his coat to keep him cool for the summer, so who knows what he'll look like at the end of it?

That's all for now,so I hope to be back in a day or two when I can get the chance to craft again. Hope you can drop by then,Thanks for stopping today.

Itty Bitty Buds

Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping dry indoors today!,still you cant ask for a better excuse to craft can you?. I'm trying to catch up with myself this afternoon, while watching the French Open final on TV I'm making the cards my sister has "commissioned" me to do ( oooh get me!! ) and several entries for  challenges on other blogs before they expire.

The first card I did combined the colour combo from the Stampin' Royalty challenge , however I don't have SU Wild Wasabi so I used the nearest coloured card I had to it in my stash,

and using these colours as the focus I followed the sketch over on  Simply Stampin' challenge, killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
I used 6"x6" SU Whisper White card, and in my stash of green card I cut a circle out for the base of the image and used MS punch for the base under the yellow ribbon.I used my Spellbinders nestabilities to cut the Daffodil Delight scalloped circle,on top of which I layered a circle of Whisper White.I then stamped The Itty Bitty Buds in Melon Mambo and Certain Celery, raising 3 of the flowers with 3D pads. The card was finished with  a Melon Mambo inked Woodware sentiment.

Here it is, and it looks like I'm back to bright colours again!!

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my Organic Grace card,I was overwhelmed with your response,Thanks so much. Bev.x
